I have this hooked to one of my sprinkler timers, so that the timer does not stick straight out from the faucet. I had one last year from a different vendor & it ended up leaking at the connection. This one is a little longer & has solid reinforced tubing next to each connector. I did not even have to use the plumber's tape that came with it. It was a perfect fit on my faucet & not even a drip. This is a great hose. It's very flexible, bendable, and well-made. I've wrapped it in on itself a couple times and it hasn't kinked; water still goes through. I needed a short hose to attach my beds to a manifold -- this one ended up being a lot shorter than I thought I would need (I have since measured the space), but it did end up working well to attach the manifold to the black hose that is connected to the spigot. Honestly, I prefer this over the black hose. It's easy to work with and seems less obtrusive/obvious. My concern with it being steel is that it gets hot here in Central Texas, but I'm not going to be moving this hose much, so it will be OK. Highly recommend. ... show more

I went to look for this item again as the hose is such good quality & the manufacturer does not appear to be offering them anymore. As you can see from the pic, the hose is very flexible with a really nice attachment area preventing leakage. I ordered the 8ft as I needed something super durable that I could run my wheel barrow over. This hose is very heavy duty & exactly what I needed. 5 stars ... show more

    • More durable than a rubber hose.
I used this hose to make a coupler from the soaker hose in one raised garden bed to the soaker hose in the next raised bed. Since the coupler hose needed to be durable enough to be buried in order to avoid a tripping hazard and eyesore, I was hesitant to use a rubber hose. This stainless hose did the trick. This hose is working very well as a connector between garden grids for my raised bed / trough gardens. I really needed this hose to be worry-free, kink-free, and durable enough to travel along the ground, and be covered by a layer of wood chips. Sometimes these hoses get stepped on and dug up by the dogs and there is no issue. I'm in zone 9b and so far I've not noticed any issues with the water being too hot for the plants and that could be because I have the majority of the hose buried under the mulch as it travels from one bed to the next. I like this hose, it looks attractive and is flexible but I didn't realize how short 8 feet long really is. It doesn't stretch very far from the faucet.
