Love the NACS connector compared to using a J1772 EVSE with a NACs adapter. Initially set for 40A out of the box my first attempt was using a 14-50 to 5-15 adapter (not included). The EVSE attempted to deliver 40A and the car recognized a 40A EVSE was connected which of course tripped my 15A breaker. That's my fault for not lowering the current setting before connecting it to the car. However it's good to note it does work at a 120V level 1 rates in addition to 240V level 2 rates. This is important if you ever plan to charge at a campground with a 120V TT30 adapter (not included). With the charge rate set to 12A (for my 15A 120v breaker) the vehicle charged properly at level 1. Next I used the 14-50 plugged directly into a 240V 14-50 outlet that is supplied with a 50A breaker. Full power was delivered and faster than my Tesla Mobile Connector which is limited to 32A. The button on the NACS connector caused the relays in my car to click but my charge port didn't open. However that may have been due to the lock state of the car. That happens Tesla Wall connector sometimes so it may be an issue with my car or me. During charging the button on the NACS connector did stop the charging session and unlocked the charge port. There are a number of certification icons on the back of the unit although I did not see any indication of UL certification. It comes with a carrying case for bringing it with you in the car, a wall mount bracket for the EVSE and a NACS holder for the cable connector. It has a timer setting to delay charging for those with tiered utility rate plans which doesn't apply to me so I didn't try the timer. As far as 14-50 Tesla charging goes this is as good as it gets.

Great charger and the construction is very durable but you have to pay attention to the housing. Has over heat protection and is very versatile. Also has the overload protection and the storage bag is a bonus and comes in very handy. Great buy for the price.

Didn't work with my 2021 Tesla Model Y. The charger has a green light, but stops charging after a few seconds and then the Tesla gives a red fault light afterwards. The charger itself keeps saying charging complete.

I've got a high end charger as part of my home charging station but it's a good idea to keep a portable in your trunk just in case. This SUIDEK charger will do the job nicely. It's clearly not the cutting edge of EV charging technology but it covers all the bases and even has a storage bag. It has adjustable charging options (8A/10A/12A/16A) and the ability to schedule charging start times (0 to 12 hours). The display screen isn't going to wow anyone but it's functional. There's also a bigger 'status light' under the aforementioned display screen. It also has all of the built in protections that you find in any EV charger from a legitimate manufacturer. That includes overheating protection, over voltage protection, under voltage protection, short circuit protection, etc. It has a IP54 waterproof rating while in use and a IP66 rating when idle. Unless you're driving somewhere seriously remote, you can usually find sufficient charging options so that you might never need to use a portable charger. There's no reason not to be prepared and this charger can give you some peace of mind. Recommended

The Suidek 32 Amp Tesla Level 2 Charger is a decent charger because of the size, the material finishes on the cable are good but the charger itself feels like a cheaper plastic housing. The cable is nice and thick thicker to accommodate for the heat, it does get quite warm while charging at 32 amps. The cord length is ok, would like it to be longer! It has a nice small Tesla connection handle with a decent gripping surface. It weighs a decent 5.88 pounds! It is nice that this device includes a digital readout that tells you information from this unit such as time on charge, voltage, and temperature. Sure, the Tesla tells you some of this information, but the temperature is an essential piece of data which it can’t tell you and because there is the ability to put adapters to use with CCS1 and J1772 connections you could use this with something other than a Tesla. This device is plug and play. Though you can go through the menu and set the charge rate that you want it to be at, I see no reason to go down from the top rate of 32 amps if you have it available since it automatically sets it to whatever the top input current rate is. I was using this to charge up my 2021 Tesla Model Y and it was sustaining 32 amps. I have this connected through an extension cable that is coming off of a 50-amp breaker. The handle gets warm after hours of charging. The listing states that the temperature operating range is up to 185 degrees Fahrenheit, and the back actually shows 185 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a really high operating temperature which is much needed improvement because I have seen competing products hit temperatures as high as 141 degrees Fahrenheit in my Texas garage over the summer. The device definitely needs that bandwidth in order to not fall to far outside of the operating temperature because I had an EVDance charger that gave out after a while from hitting 141 degree highs and then started throttling the charger down to 118 degrees at the max, which dropped my power transfer rate to as low as 29 amps. I’ll see if this charger lasts because the materials seem to be inferior to the EVDance when it comes to the housing. The carrying case is made out of a durable nylon that looks and feels good, and easily accommodates for the size of the charger and cable. It has a nice rubberized bottom to keep from slipping. The handle is lacking though. It is just a standard piece of nylon with no space in between the bag and the handle.

Solid charger, high quality, it feels like it will last a long time and weather many uses. The size of the charger is also very portable and not super heavy. I like that it's 40 amps! The carry case is nice and has a nonslip bottom so it doesn't slide around in the trunk. Can't complain!
