This is a versatile EV charger that gives you quite a bit of flexibility compared with a basic Level 1 charger. The adjustable charging current from 8A up to 40A makes it useful for different electrical setups, and being able to use either 120V or 240V gives you the option to start with a standard outlet and move to faster charging later. The 25 foot cable is one of the most practical features. It provides plenty of reach for situations where the outlet is not directly next to the vehicle, and it gives more flexibility with where the car can be parked. The cable also feels substantial enough for regular use without being unnecessarily difficult to handle. The TFT display is easy to reference while charging and provides useful information without having to rely on a phone app. Being able to see the charging information directly on the unit makes the setup feel straightforward. We have a plug-in Hybrid and a full electric vehicle that are forever fighting over the Level 2 charger. This one popped up and we decided to take a chance with adding something that was not from the factory. We could not be happier - so much that even while our current Level 2 charger still works, we switched over to this one for the duration of the lease before we have to turn the factory one in with the vehicle. It comes exactly as described with all of the accessories: an adaptor for 110v; a mounting plate for the charger; a mounting plate for the NACS; a carrying case; etc. Given all of the plugs and adaptors you should always be able to connect it to your car. The design is very sleek and we LOVE that it has the charging information right on the charger. Something we were not used to with our black plastic box from the factory. The carrying bag makes it very easy to throw in and take it anywhere you need to go. And, if your destination does not have a 240v connector, you can simply use the adaptor and start charging. Love that you can set it to charge for a set period of time or use the same button to set a timer for when it should start - just in case you are on a late night charging structure. The biggest boost is literally a boost - 25% faster charging!! All off of the exact same plug that our old charger worked off of. Cutting down the charging time means there is less switching between the plug-in hybrid and the full electric vehicle. We could not be happier. It is a great value and better than the factory issued one in every way. We are looking forward to a long time of faster charging.

5 stars: Level 1&2 EV Charger for All Picked this up to finally stop borrowing my neighbor's trickle charger every time I forgot to top off at a public station. Unboxing it, the first thing I noticed was the cable - 25 feet is generous and the jacket has a nice rubbery flex to it even in cooler weather. The J1772 connector clicks into the port with a solid, confident snap that just feels right. Setup was dead simple - plugged the NEMA 14-50 into my dryer-style outlet in the garage and I was charging within five minutes of opening the box. The dual-level setup is the real selling point here. On the included 5-15 adapter plugged into a standard 120V wall outlet, it pulls a steady trickle that works great for overnight top-offs when I only need 30-40 miles of range back. But on the 240V circuit at 40 amps, this thing moves - I'm seeing roughly 30 miles of range per hour, which means I can go from low to full overnight without even thinking about it. The indicator lights on the unit are bright enough to read from across the garage but not so bright they light up the whole room at night. Build quality feels solid for the price point. The wall mount bracket is sturdy and the cable wraps cleanly without fighting you. I've had it plugged in through a few warm days in the garage and it stays cool to the touch - no concerning heat from the unit or the plug connection. That was honestly the thing I was most nervous about with a lesser-known brand at this price. At around $190 this is a pretty easy call if you've got a 240V outlet ready to go. Even if you're stuck on 120V for now, it still works fine as a trickle charger and you'll be set whenever you upgrade your electrical. Solid buy for any EV owner who wants to skip the public charging routine.

If you have an EV, being able to plug in at your own house instead of planning your life around public chargers makes such a difference. I have a busy schedule between work, errands and family activities, so convenience is the biggest reason I appreciate having charging equipment at home. I really like the long 25 foot cable because it gives much more flexibility with where the vehicle is parked. Our driveway has multiple cars in it at times, and I do not want to have to position a vehicle perfectly just to reach the charging port. The ability to adjust the amperage is another feature I appreciate because different electrical setups and situations may call for different settings. The display also makes it easier to see what the charger is doing rather than simply plugging it in and guessing. The connection feels secure and the cable itself feels substantial enough for regular use. Having both Level 1 and Level 2 capability also makes the unit more versatile than a very basic charger. For me, the biggest compliment is simply that it makes EV ownership easier. I can come home, plug in and move on with everything else I need to do instead of turning charging into another errand.
