    • Terrible design - no way to hang a food feeder or access main part of the hutch

Ok, so I was in a pickle and needed something cheap and quick. Here are the issues: 1. The wood is so cheap and soft, won’t last a year. 2 the design! There is NO way hang a food feeder inside. You can’t lift the top and the small door opens to the hidey house that has no wire walls. You can try to bend your arm and put a bowl into the run but it’s ridiculously awkward and uncomfortable. Basically, you can’t access the main part of the hutch! Which is an awful design. Regretting this purchase but it’s put together now son I’m not returning it. I’ll just hate it everyday until I don’t need to use it anymore lol ... show more

I knew when I bought this I would need to modify it, it’s a really bad design. I assembled as directed (with some extra help from liquid nails to keep it together), but didn’t screw down the roof, instead I installed hinges so I could access the whole hutch. Directions are weak but it’s simple enough. If you put it together the way it shows you won’t be able to reach the far side of the cage. I turned the front upside down. Moved the mesh bottom support and flipped the lock mechanism. I’m putting quail in it. This set up leaves a mesh front along the bottom to keep them from running out. It’s a good cage. I like the rubber leg covers. Keeps it dry on wet ground. ... show more
