I was expecting quilt thickness, its more like a touch thicker then bed sheet thickness. I still used it, will add a tiny bit of protection to the liner but definitely not a padded feeling. Id go with something thicker if I had to do it again like those puzzle piece pads or horse stall pads. Also I got it for $35 and thought that was kind of expensive, I see its $74 now.

This is really, and honestly, NOTHING more than a thin piece of black felt. It's the exact same thing you buy at your local box store for weed barrier in a flower bed, except its a solid LG round piece. We used it because I want the pool up and don't want to wait for something else, but there is ZERO cushion or padding to it, its about the same thickness ( and price), or thinner, as the heavy duty tarp we put down under it. Not at all what I wanted, but hopefully it will help keep the nut grass from growing through the pool. If you want padding, this is ABSOLUTELY NOT what your looking for. We have a 14' pool and I'm glad we ordered the 15' liner, not much excess at all. Not impressed at all for the price.
