Unlike a traditional chest press where both handles move straight forward the arms on this machine move inward as you press, following the natural path your hands would take during a dumbbell press. This creates a more comfortable motion and allows for a stronger contraction. The machine is stable and well-built during use. Assembly is straightforward and the different grip positions provide options that feel natural on the shoulders and wrists. This is a great budget converging chest press machine for the home gym! Lots of value in a relatively compact package - the machine even has rubber feet to prevent the machine from sliding on your floor! There's also a storage post on the back of the machine for your olympic plates, but that can be easily removed to reduce the machine's footprint if desired. It is pretty easy to assemble yourself as the instructions are super clear and nothing is particularly heavy individually, but once assembled it's lightweight enough to move but sturdy enough to workout in. I have loaded up 90lbs on each arm and they do flex, but I'm not worried about them breaking. The seat and back pads are comfortable with a little grip. I was surprised by how much I liked the gray color in person! The seat and back pads are easy to adjust with the integrated pop pins, although it does take a little more time to secure them if you want to tighten them down (although probably not really needed in use). The neutral and pronated grips feel natural and the converging movement is really nice for pec contractions! The rubber grips have a tendency to rotate if you torque super hard on them, but I haven't really noticed that as an issue during the movements!. I find taking out the bolts that prevent the stoppers from accidentally being pulled out of their sheaths will improve the ROM on decline bench press. My biggest complaint about the machine is the lack of markings on the stopper adjustments because this would make it much easier to switch between different movements. The levers are lightweight (starting felt load is about 6.5lbs per arm) but it can be awkward to adjust the heights of the stoppers since it requires two hands to press the release lever and pull up / down the stopper. Also, I wish it was designed to do overhead press movements because it's not really possible with because the bench doesn't slide back so you'd have to reach awkwardly behind you (doesn't feel good). Something you can do is flip the arms all the way around and out of the way if you want to use the bench as a regular FID bench.

We’ve been training on this for several weeks in our home gym. The steel measured closer to 13 gauge than the typical budget assumption, which was a genuine surprise. The flat press is excellent and the 30 degree incline gives one of the cleanest contractions we’ve felt at any price point. The honest caveat: this machine is built to a specific size spec. At 5’5” my wife has zero issues across every position. At 5’11” I hit a mechanical limit above 30 degrees on the incline and the fixed leg roller makes decline a bit of a workout to get into. It’s still usable but it’s not comfortable. No squeaks after weeks of use. Assembly was simple. For the price, if your frame fits this machine it’s a strong buy.

Great budget bench press at this price point. I was surprisingly impressed with how good the quality was on this piece of machine. It's made out of 14 gauge steel and weighs about a 137 pounds. It feels very nice and sturdy, but also light enough to move around easy in the gym. I like the quick release of the position setting pins because you can just push down and set it easy. It also has two handle positions for neutral position and wide grip. I also like that it has different angle positions from negative 10 to up to 80 degrees for different positions to do chest press. I actually was also able to do shoulder press on these too, which was quite impressive for this piece of machine. This is definitely an upgrade from the other machines that are similar to this but are probaby an older version. This one, you have a full bench that changes position. Definitely a great piece but does take up a lot of space so make sure that you have adequate space in your gym to accommodate for this. The rubber grips and foam padding for the feat could be better, but not a big deal for me personally. I also wish that the pin settings had number markings so that way you can know that both sides are the same height before starting. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good chest press bench machine but has a budget.

Impressed! Packaged very well, no damage or scratches. Easy assembly, all bolts and holes lined up perfectly. Assembly instructions are just pictures but easy to follow. Comes with all the tools you need but a rachet makes it a little easier. Good quality and well made.

Totally legit! I got this for Christmas. This is not the typical “cheaply made in China” product. It is very heavy duty and well made. I love the extended motion on the bench going into decline. I really like this bench a lot!
