  • 2025 New Shade Cloth Heavy Duty Lock Grip, 20 Pcs
My wife is an avid gardener. We live in Southern California where the sun can beat down on plants and ruin them quickly. Temps here run up to 120*F for days on end. Some sort of protection from the harsh sun is always needed. We have been using shade cloths for the last 4 years now and they do a decent job. If you have ever hung one of these cloths you know that the four corners pull out quite a distance while the areas between corners tend to dip inward, reducing the coverage. THAT is what these clips are made for. You can clip them between the corners and run a piece of cord from corner to corner and clip these around that cord and onto the shade cloth. You have now extended the coverage for your plants. A shade cloth is also helpful for reducing the sun's rays on a patio, camp site or any place shade is wanted. These clips will make that shade fit the full area beneath the cloth. There are 20 clips that fold and latch closed. Made of flexible plastic. The latches snap shut with a positive click. The point where they fold over is designed to provide a tube for the cord to run through. They are quite well made with little to no plastic flashings. There are 10 pointed pins around the edge to grip the shade cloth and a strong slip in the center to latch them tightly. Will they hold up to the extreme heat and rays of the son? Only time will tell but I am confident that they should last the season and maybe two. Price is perfect for 20 coming in at about a half dollar each. ... show more

  • Clips Help Hold Plant Shade and Other “Meshy” Fabrics
These clips are sturdy and strong. They snap onto burlap or netting material and hold tight. (Not for use with a solid fabric as the clips have “teeth” and will poke a hole in non-netted material.) These allow me to string up sunshade material for my garden and sometimes patio area. Clips are tight once they are fastened. They are removable by pushing (unclasping) the center tooth. Helpful item! ... show more

  • Good Strength; Good Hold; Hard to Get Back Apart
The media could not be loaded. Plastic Shade Cloth Holder Review: These are about what I expected. They are harder to get back undone than I would like. In fact, I didn't think they were going to come back apart at first. I would think that these would damage whatever you use them on. I got them to be a last ditch kind of item as we've had a lot of wind events in the past couple of years. I can see that they would reinforce a grommet area or reform a grommet area where you had lost a grommet in your shade cloth or tarp. So, reinforcement for tarp and shade cloth corners and edges is essentially how I will be using them, but for now they are basically an emergency supply. I think there will be extremely durable. They would barely come undone when we tried them out. ... show more

  • Simple and elegant alternative to grommets
I had a 20' by 20' piece of heavy shade cloth to secure that lacked grommets. Normally I would knot the corners and use the knots as a point to attach cord, but the cloth was big enough that it needed securing along the sides too. I wasn't sure the clamps would be strong enough for my purpose, but they hold really well even with the heavy cloth doubled over. I actually prefer these over grommets as I get to choose where to attach the cord. ... show more

  • Strong hold, easy to use
I have several high tunnel greenhouses and use shade cloth in the summer to help with the heat. I never have enough clips to hold them in place. I was excited to try these out.. They have a well thought out design that holds securely. I expect them to withstand all the summer wind and thunderstorms with out a problem. Compared to my other clips, they lock tighter and hold stronger, plus they are easy to use. Even though I'm using them in the garden, I expect that they would hold a patio shade cloth equally well. I really like them and definitely recommend them. ... show more
