It has a carbon fiber friction surface that helps players put really effective spins that make the bounce of a return more unpredictable. I usually have a fairly effective spin, and I feel this paddle helped make it even better. also found it can help with consistency. The core of the paddle is made of an upgraded 16mm polypropylene honeycomb core geared to support a wider sweet spot on the paddle. It is 16.5 inches in length, 7.5 inches wide and has a grip circumference of 4.25 inches. It weighs 8.1 ounces. I am a small, older woman and had no trouble with the grip or weight of the paddle. The Passion Plus has what I would call a traditional design, and it has a great, clean look. My paddle is a sharp black with purple, but it comes in several color choices. It arrives in a sturdy, nice looking box and is well protected to withstand the rigors of shipment. The box also has a nice-looking cover for the paddle. I was pleasantly surprised with this paddle. i was not familair with this brand and have used dozens of other brands over the years so admittedly, I didn't have high expectations. At the end of the day, this paddle can hang with the big boys. Here are a few thoughts... *The packaging that it came in was nice....it was boxed up and well protected. *I really like that they included a cover...I have gotten many mid-range to high-end paddles overs the years that didn't include a cover. Most players don't go thru as many paddles as I do and would want the cover. It doesn't cost that much to add it to add it in.....I think this is a nice touch. *The paddle itself plays great. I found that the sweet spot rivals the mid to high end paddles I've used from Selkirk. Meaning it's large enough to deliver consistent smooth contact with the ball and also deliver some pop. There is some life to this paddle given the core that they used....I was impressed. *I think the surface is really the sellingn point of this paddle...given the materials, it's going to be very durable and will consistently deliver the spin/control that most players desire. *Lastly...I think this paddle looks great. I think the jacquered look along with the color choices deliver a very attractive looking paddle. Overall....I am very pleased with the overall look, performance and value of this pickleball paddle. Glad I took a chance on this one!

Paddle has a very small sweet spot. Advertised for women, but found it exceptionally heavy and will cause tennis elbow because of length and weight.
