I ordered for a diy canister filter build but scrapped that project. Then my tank had an algae issue so I installed one of the pumps inside my tank for extra circulation. They are very quiet and adjustable flow rate. Worked well and my algae issue is slowly going away.

    • Great mini pump with nice, low volume, slower fluid pump
I needed this for a project and I needed a low flow, slower volume pump and this fit my needs perfectly. It is nearly silent, works well and has suction cups on the bottom to hold it in place. If you need a slow, gentle and lower volume pump, I recommend this.

    • Using it for outdoor fountain
One pump has been in use in our outdoor fountain for a couple of months. I have removed it once for cleaning, which was no problem. Thus far, the performance has been exactly what we needed. While we have made an effort to maintain the water level, it went too low once due to hot, windy weather and the pump stopped. It started up again as soon as the fountain was refilled.     • These are really small, very little lift
I thought these might work for my NFT hydroponic system. They did not have enough lift - were unable to lift anywhere near the flow rate. They might be suitable for an Aquarium where they need to lift water about a foot to the top of a filter housing, but lifting water from a sump tank 24” to an NFT trough - the flow rates were super low and they would not restart the flow after a power outage (it was necessary to drop the end of the tubing down almost flat to restart flow and then lift it back to the hydroponic tubing. For Hydro I will need a pump that genuinely has 2 or 3 feet of lift at the rated flow. ... show more

The price is amazing It is quiet and very powerful I bought these pumps a little over two years ago ago guess what they're still working I put one on a DIY fountain still works I put the other one in a pond 10x10 and believe me this little thing is still working they have never been cleaned cause I thought they would have died already wow these are just amazing definitely recommend ... show more

I have a small outdoor fountain that I hoped would attract hummingbirds, Sadly, it did not. After trying several solar powered pumps, we decided to go fully electric. This was so easy to install and adjust, and worked well for a week. Then the water flow slowed down. But it is adjustable, so I increased the flow, no problem. Until it died altogether. It lasted a total of 18 days. Amazon refunded my money. I returned them both, figuring "why bother". I didn't want to risk the other one doing too and exceeding the time I had to get a refund. ... show more
