Ever since Thanksgiving when I got my electric vehicle, I’ve wanted one of these portable chargers so badly. I honestly thought a quality Level 2 charger would cost thousands of dollars, so when I found this eTimxon charger and realized it was fully compatible with my vehicle, I was beyond excited. It has honestly been one of the best accessories I’ve purchased for my EV. What I love most is the flexibility. I can keep it set up at home for everyday charging, or I can throw it in the very nice carrying case it comes with and take it with me anywhere. It has already saved me from constantly having to use charging apps to hunt down public charging stations, sit around waiting, and pay expensive charging fees. Being able to charge from home or while traveling has been such a game changer. The build quality completely exceeded my expectations. Everything feels solid, durable, and very well made. The 25-foot charging cable gives plenty of reach, and I love that it supports both Level 1 and Level 2 charging. The Level 2 charging with the NEMA 6-20 plug is dramatically faster than standard chargers and cuts charging time down significantly. My vehicle charges beautifully with this setup, and I’ve noticed my battery performance and charging consistency have been excellent. I also appreciate all the built-in safety protections. The automatic temperature monitoring and charging protection features give me peace of mind while charging overnight or during long charging sessions. Setup was incredibly simple, and the adjustable current settings are another nice feature depending on where you’re plugged in. This charger came with absolutely everything I needed, works perfectly with my EV, and has been an amazing value for the money. If you've ever stood in a parking lot watching a public charger crawl while paying premium rates for the privilege, you already know why a portable Level 2 charger like this is worth having. The NEMA 6-20 plug pulls 240V at 16A and charges roughly four times faster than the basic Level 1 brick that came with the car. For overnight home charging or topping off before a trip, it does the job without the four figure price tag of a hardwired wall unit. What sold me is the design and easy of use and flexibility. It comes with the fixed 6-20 plug for Level 2 plus a NEMA 5-15 adapter so you can plug into a regular household outlet when you're at a friend's place or a motel. Just remember to manually drop the current to 12A when you're on the 5-15, that's a safety thing for standard home wiring. The 25 foot cable gives you real reach so you're not playing parking Tetris to line up with the port, and the little LCD on the unit showing voltage, amperage, and session power is genuinely useful. It even comes with both a wall mount and a carrying case, which is a nice touch at this price. Couple honest notes. The unit is a bit bulky to toss in a bag, and the cable gets stiff in cold weather like most EV cables do. The built in temperature protection that throttles power if it overheats is reassuring for overnight sessions. For a backup or travel charger, or even an everyday charger if you have the right outlet, this is a strong value.

I had a wonderful personal experience last weekend when I needed to quickly top off my battery before a spontaneous road trip, and using the fixed NEMA 6-20 plug for level two charging delivered a super fast output current that got me back on the road about four times faster than my old setup. When I visited a friend who only has standard three-prong household outlets, the included NEMA 5-15 adapter worked like an absolute charm for dual-level compatibility after I manually adjusted the current to twelve amps to protect the electrical system. This portable EV charger has been a good overall charging solution for my EV, especially as a backup charger and travel option. I like the flexibility of having both level 1 and level 2 charging with the adapter, and the 25' cable provides plenty of reach in most parking situations. The charging speed on 240V is solid and faster than any regular wall outlet which makes overnight charging convenient. It also maintained a steady charge without interruptions during use. Compatibility was excellent as it worked right away with my EV, no setup or adapters required. The charger feels reasonably well build and the ETL certification adds some confidence. I appreciate the simple plug and play functionality and clear indicator lights that make it easy to monitor charging status. That all being said, there are some minor drawbacks. The unit is a little bulky to store and transport. The charging speeds, while good, they are not as fast as some other options I've owned in the past. The cable feels very stiff in the cold mornings here. Overall though, I would still give this is a 4/5 rating, as the pros definitely outweigh the cons. It offers very good value for money considering the dual voltage support, portability, safety features and reliable performance. It's been a dependable option for me, and I expect it will be for anyone else. Great for a backup or travel charger. You could even make this an everyday charger in specific situations.

What We Like: Compact & Portable — Much smaller and lighter than I expected for a Level 2 charger. It’s genuinely easy to pack and carry in the frunk or trunk without taking up much space. Versatile Power — Works on both 110V and 240V outlets (comes with NEMA 6-20 plug and NEMA 5-15 adapter), giving good flexibility when traveling.
