This is my second EV charger from eTimxon, and I am just as happy with this one as I was with the last one! We have two plug-in hybrids, so we only need Level 1 or Level 2 charging capability. We don't even have a 240v outlet, so we are using the standard one, and this EV charger from eTimxon is fantastic for that. There is a lot to like, the robust build quality, the fact that they include BOTH a mount and carrying case in the event you wish to keep it in the car, and my favorite piece of this, the LCD screen. They have included a screen on the front so you can see what amperage you are at, how much power is being drawn from the wall, what voltage is available, and how much you have used in a given session. Super simple to set up, and I love that even after hours under load, this thing doesn't even break a sweat. This is MUCH better than the chargers that came with our cars, those look like dummy units by comparison (those also are not Level 2 compatible). At right around $100 at the time of this review, I can give a full endorsement of this product. If you are like me and have a basic plug in hybrid that can do the standard 110/120v, this is an excellent choice.

This charger works great. I have a very similar one to this and I can confirm functionality of the 240 V 16 A plug. Basically, this charger works on 120 V household power with the included adapter and if you have a 20 A 240 V breaker + wire + plug then you can charge at 240 V x 16 = 3.84 kw which is pretty good for a relatively cheap install. It's still about half the speed of your average 30 A 240 V setup and if you already have a dedicated 120 V 16 A outlet (with nothing else on that circuit) you can just swap the outlet and breaker (DYOR). They include a nice bag and a wall mount so it's a nice kit to carry around and the 120 / 240 V 16 A setup gives you some flexibility for charging in weird places. This charger is well built and has a nice display, but of course, be sure your breaker/wire can handle the load before testing it.

This is a versatile, portable electric vehicle charger. The charger is capable of charging as a level one charger, plugging into a standard 110v household wall outlet or as a level two, by using a 220v outlet, like the type used by electric clothes dryers, ovens, et. al. This adaptability makes this charger a perfect traveling companion. Since this kit includes a handy storage/travel bag, it can be stowed away in the trunk or frunk and by simply plugging it in at your destination, then plugging it into your vehicle you are charging up, ready for the next leg of your journey! The charger handles a wide range of vehicles and with a simple NACS adapter (sold separately) can accommodate even more. When plugged into a 110v the charger operates at level one, while the 220v operates at level two, which is considerably faster, so it is preferable to charge at the level two rate, when possible.
