This is the base model wood for a wood fired pizza oven or giant Solo stove kind of fire. Most places have somewhere to buy wood. It’s not usually oak. Common wood will either be the local tree or pine. There are exotic woods to add flavor to cooking/smoking, too. Oak is a hard wood that burns well and smells good for basic cooking. I use wood for fires when camping in the sticks and at national parks. Many parks require local wood. If not, having a bundle in advance just makes your life easier when you roll in. I’ll be chopping and splitting these logs for my 12” wood fired pizza oven. The ironic thing is that for large logs it’s a little pricey. It if you’re able to cut them to small logs for my oven they actually save around 50% of the store price for small oak pieces. If you don’t know what kiln dried is, it’s an oven that heats the wood to remove moisture. Wet wood can be impossible to light. It’s a good thing. If the price works for you, it’s a nice bundle to have at the ready.

It's funny to order wood online, especially since I live in the country and get my own firewood from the trees around me. That being said, this wood is good. :) Smells good. Lights quickly and burns bright. I use it for kindling since it burns so fast. Great for starting campfires and bonfires. Cut to the right size, too. To be fair, it's a bit expensive compared to the bundles you can get at the local hardware store or grocery (but you have to cover shipping somehow). I've seen bundles at the store for $7 and you'd need to get two to compare to this bundle. That still makes this bundle twice as expensive. But, if you live where you can't get your own firewood and the local store is sold out, grab a bundle of this wood. It will provide a nice, warm fire.

This wood worked well, came well packaged, burnt well in my outdoor fire place. It's what you would want for food and caught fire easily enough with some kindling. Worked very much the same as what I can get locally, with the convenience of it being delivered to my door. The reason for three stars is the cost. Currently listed at $34.99, I feel it's to expensive. I can get similar at my hardware store and grocery store for about $8. So as a buyer you are paying an additional $26 to have it where you can get it shipped to you. Unless the price goes down drastically I would not purchase it again.

I'm not sure how to review these firewood logs - obviously they burned in a fire pit. I guess it is of note that there was no dark smoke coming from them as they burned, indicating they're well dried out and made for a more enjoyable fire pit experience.

This oak firewood bag will burn for quite a while. They are well seasoned. The bundle is fairly small for the price compared to what I normally get a the local store.

The wood is nicely dry and ready to burn. I like the log size (~15" long), too - they fit my patio firepit really comfortably. All in all, there's really not much more to say. It's certainly not cheap to buy firewood online, but this set of logs isn't any more expensive than competing options. I'm pretty happy with it!

We are saving this bundle for when we want to sit out by the firepit, so we can relax and maybe roast some hot dogs over the fire. This bundle came nicely packaged and seems to be of great quality. The logs are split in similar shapes and sizes and seem to be dried to perfection. We will actually store this in the garage until we are ready to use it, assuring it remains dry and insect free.
