These are a nice pair of large, bright lamps. When you take them out of the box the first thing you notice is that you have to assemble the lamp shades. That seems a bit odd, but it is not as difficult as it first may seem. Each shade has two metal rings, and there are clips on the top and bottom of each shade. After both rings are clipped into each shade, the shade has a Velcro strip at the back that seals it shut. It’s not too difficult and doesn’t look too bad as long as you turn that Velcro strip so it’s at the back of the lamp. The bases of the lamps have a nice, rustic look to them that will allow you to use them in a wide range of settings. These are touch lamps, and the included bulbs give you three brightness settings. The lowest setting provides nice ambient light, and the brightest setting provides enough light to read by. The lamps take 60 watt equivalent bulbs. The bulbs are included. Overall, the lamps were assembled in under 10 minutes. They look nice and provide good levels of light. At a height of about two feet they would make excellent end table or nightstand lamps.

I was surprised to get these and find the shades need to be put together. They are easy to assemble but there is a seam that is very visible. This might not be a problem if you are planning on using these on a table that backs up to a wall or such. I planned on using these on the table behind the couch which is in an open concept area, there is no direction I can turn the lamp where the seam cannot be seen. These lamps are made of resin not wood, (I got the red ones), they are made to look distressed, for the red lamps this meant putting in distressed "cracks" the cracks don't look real at all. Also the red color is more of a dark brown. I do like the touch function of the lamp. I like that the light starts out dim and gets brighter, this helps your eyes adjust if you happen to be turning them on in already darkened room. I think I might be able to make these work in another area of the house if I purchase new shades.

I’m going to be honest, when I first opened the box I was very much skeptical if these would be worth the $60 asking price. That’s basically $30 per lamp. When I tell you assembly is required, I mean assembly is required right down to the lamp shade. I have never in my life had to assemble lamp shades. You also have to screw the light fixture into the base. All of this is done to ship it in a smaller box. After seeing all of that, yes, I was very much concerned. I actually pushed the box to a corner for a couple of days before I tackled the assembly. Once you start attaching the shades to the round pieces, it actually goes pretty fast. The shades to has velcro to keep it closed once attached. After that, I moved to screwing the adapter that holds the light bulb into the base. It’s pretty straight forward and easy to do. I was worried about nothing in the end. The lamps are so very light weight and perfect end table lamps for the living room or bedroom. You could really use them anywhere you need a lamp. They may be lightweight, but they have enough weight to not turn over or fall easily. They even come with light bulbs. The shards are a nice burlap color and have a slight texture, but not too much. They do give a farm/country house vibe about them. I’ll be using ours in our bedroom after we finish painting. Do I think these lamps in the end are worth $60? No. I don’t say that because anything is wrong with them because there is not anything to complain about. I just feel that lighting is just highly over priced all the time. With that said, if you can justify the cost, these I would highly recommend.

The look is almost indistinguishable from naturally aged and repainted wood. I would say it is only describable upon touch. I would choose this over wood though as it shouldn't age or crack or really wear down at all, you could easily repaint too if you wanted. Everything is replaceable like an old school lamp if you have the skill. I can't think of any reason this won't last near forever, haha. I love the simplicity of the button and the standard bulb, no fancy LEDs that are hard-wired into the lamp for eco-trash when it burns out. The shade is perfect but also interchangeable with anything standard should you like a different look. Build quality is great and I can't think of any downside. If you do swap light-bulbs (I like a more amber glow like incandescent) just make sure you purchase those that can be dimmed or else they may flicker, nothing to do with this lamp just a general rule with dumb LED bulbs.

These are very stylish lamps, they have such a rustic but modern feel to them. They come carefully packed, with 2 light bulbs and the shades are rolled. It has a little instruction card as well but it's self explanatory in my opinion. What I like most about these lamps is the ease of use! You do not need to apply pressure to the button, I'm unsure if it is a sensor but just a tap does it. That's a plus for me because my son lacks the strength in his hands to twist little knobs. There are 3 light settings, from bright to brightest, the color temp does not change. Overall, it looks exactly as advertised, I do believe for the price it is worth it. Basically $60 without the discount, so you're paying $30 for each lamp which is on par with similar styles I searched up. If this is on discount, it's honestly a steal. The quality I think is quite nice, a good set.
