A great cast iron skillet, it’s large, relatively heavy, has stood up to us cooking several meals with it and definitely was worth the money. We really like the wooden handle so that it doesn’t get too hot and that it has a lid.

Nice pan. Obviously the wooden handle isn't oven safe, but it unscrews easily for the occasion. I got it for steaks and burgers and it does a great job. It is heavy. It doesn't come with instructions but it is fairly obvious. Although I am not 100% sure I put the lid handle on correctly, but it works just fine. All in all, I am happy with my purchase, it is very nice having a full handle that stays cool on a cast iron pan.

This is a nice pan, and a good value for the cost. The handle comes off for oven use. Like all cast iron it's on the heavy side, but that's to be expected. I've never had a cast iron skillet and would instructions on the seasoning and cleaning would've been helpful, fortunately that information is found online.

The pan boasts a naturally nonstick surface and is compatible with all heat sources. I can't say that I'm impressed with this cast-iron pan. I've owned a lot of cast-iron over the decades, from 100-year-old antiques to brand new pans I bought myself. This one is rough on the inside, which makes it frustrating to clean and prone to sticking. The wooden handle is a poor choice for a pan meant to go into the oven or on the grill--it has to be screwed in, which is awkward and impractical when the pan is hot. It’s also unusually lightweight, which is a disadvantage in cast iron: it doesn’t hold heat well and causes uneven cooking, with burnt centers and raw edges. For this pricepoint, I expected better. I’ve had better luck with other pans.

Looks and works well for basic stovetop use. My other cast iron pans and griddle are noticeably thicker and heavier than this, but this serves the purpose for basic stovetop use. Handle needs to come off for oven use and cast iron requires special care when cleaning and seasoning with oil or it will rust. I will have to see how it holds up with time, but this is a solid find for this price point. If you care more about having thicker, heavier cast iron to prioritize holding a lot of even heat, then look elsewhere and pay more, but for something that falls in between a typical skillet and a proper cast iron, this serves the purpose.

This is a solid cast iron pan. I like the removable wooden handle. This allows me to get the pan good and seasoned without scorching the wood. The pan is true to size at 12 inches in diameter. I have only made fired porkchops in this since I got it fully seasoned, but it worked just as good as my Lodge cast iron. At the current price of 34 bucks, you can't go wrong with this IF you are experienced with cast iron. 34 dollars is a very good price for this skillet. If this is your first foray, grab something preseasoned. You will still have to season it but the process will be much easier for someone with no experience with cast iron cooking. I did not have any odd or off-putting flavor when using this to cook.
