I was skeptical at first after purchasing a similar model that also claimed to be made of aluminum but wasn't. This really is made of aluminum, except for the post shoe mount which allows you to remove the post and only have the shoe with a plastic cover. Installation was quick and easy. You have to be careful when rolling it up to guide it so it is straight on the roller. Very sturdy, screen material seems to be of good quality.

So if you’re not careful when rolling out the awning and rolling it back, it can get severely wrinkled. Which is what happened to ours. Company was kind enough to replace the faulty one. The new one has no problems never gets wrinkled. It does seem very finicky when it comes to pulling out the awning and winding it. Other than that, it’s a great product!
