Comes with nylon rope for hanging. It's made of a very thin gauge synthetic material-- thinner than lawn leaf bags. The edging band is made from the same plastic material whereas some others we have ordered in the past use a more durable cloth band. I would call this flimsy within this price class.

I am using this inexpensive shade cloth over a small greenhouse to help cool it. The summer here has been overly warm and this shade cloth helps to keep the plants in my greenhouse from wilting. I am taking a star off because there seems to be some quality issues on the siding and corners. I am using clips to fasten the cloth over the top and have had a couple tear out. Otherwise, this does the job I needed it to do. It is inexpensive so I am not too worried about that issue, but I have my doubts if this will last multiple years. ... show more

I've been using different manufacturers versions of this for the last year that are still up in the hot Arizona sun and wind. THIS ONE LASTED 2 DAYS BEFORE THE CORNER RIPPED OUT! It tore the corner metal gromite clean out of the "reinforced" edging. Unless you are just using this as a blanket to throw over something that doesn't need to be tied down I'd spend a few more dollars and get a better one.     • A much needed tarp for the hot south

The media could not be loaded. I am a big fan of Shade tarps. We live in Florida and it is extremely hot during the summer. My poor chickens and goats look for any possible shade, as well as I need filtered shade in my gardens. This tarp is the perfect size for a paddock or a couple ahead of goats to get some relief. Shade tarps are also great for overhead predators to protect your chickens. The tarp provides 75% shade, it has a nice weave including the the seam and band. The tarp will hold a good wind gust and not rip or strip from the weave. The band feels like a tent material I’m excited to get this set up. I plan to use this to create shade over my pool PVC equipment. Rope is included in the packaging. The shade cloth is supposed to provide 75% shade, and given the closeness of the weeds, I expect that it will do exactly that. The perimeter is reinforced and stitched six times and there are several grommets around the perimeter. The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five stars is that I don’t believe that the parameter is reinforced enough in order to hang this overhead to provide shade to plants underneath. I think that the wind would definitely cause some damage or tearing around the perimeter where the shade cloth meets the reinforced perimeter. I’m hoping that won’t happen, and if it does, I will certainly update this review. But this shade fabric will certainly meet my needs. ... show more

    • A great shade for my small backyard
Size: 6.5x13 Feet
I got this to go between my house and the block wall on the other end of my backyard. From my house to the block wall is 6 and 1/2 ft so this fit perfect. I put anchors unto the outside of my house wall and into the block wall and was able to use some small caliper hooks to attach it to the anchors. It blocks out a lot of sun and makes being outdoors a little bit more pleasant being that I live in the desert of Arizona. It's made of a heavy mesh fabric and has Rings going around it too attach hooks or ropes. It comes with a cord as well but I didn't need that. I give this five stars and two thumbs up.
