I bought 2 of these lightweight covers for my hot tub as the heavy one that came with the hot tub was a hassle to take off and on and this cover is lightweight and perfect for daily use if you use the hot tub often. It will not work very well if you are in a hurricane and tropical storm season with lots of wind and rain though so I keep the heavy cover on it when the weather calls for a more sturdy cover and put that one over this lightweight one for extra protection. We're seniors and have a little 12' X 30" floating pool. This is the best pool cover we've had. The Intex bubble wrap type released a BUNCH of little blue plastic dots into the water after a heat wave, bursting many of the bubbles. We had 2 of those - the 1st one ripped, the 2nd one is the one that shed the dots. We had one that was just like a blanket, but would sink when it rained. None of them kept out debris. All were "solar covers" but not very effective in either heating the water or keeping it warm. This one isn't great at that either, but it's worth it, just because it keeps the maintenance to a minimum and does heat it some. A little more money and a little more work, but very much worth it. I was going to return this because when I first put it on my 12' round pool I didn't realize there was a drawstring. I thought it only had the anchors, which I can't use because my pool is on a cement slab. After reading the description again and seeing that it had the drawstring I gave it another shot and voila it worked. The drawstring snugged it up pretty tight . I'll find out in time if it holds up to wind. I'm assuming it will. I don't know how the solar part works yet, I'm assuming it will be fine. If it's not I'll come back and revise my review. Discover nicely covers over the edge of the pool by may be 5 inches, which is very helpful! It is easily put on and removed without a problem of it sinking into the pool. The cover is nice and lightweight as well. We love the gray color as it doesn’t heat the pool too much And keeps the cedar needles and other things out of our pool. We don’t like the dark covers because it would heat our pool up too much and cause algae so this is perfect! The only strange thing was taking it out of the package and and folding it. It was stuck together and had to be pulled apart, as if it were glued And I had to really pull on it very hard to peel it apart from its self. I was afraid it would tear because the fabric is lightweight but it’s also very strong and did not tear. We put some water on it hoping if it was glue that it would Help loosen it but I don’t really think that made much of a difference. We are very happy with the cover, but that was the only downfall. ... show more

So far I'm quite happy with this pool cover. The tie downs are a nice feature and should hold the cover even in windy areas. I'm curious to see it's condition in the spring after a season of unsettled weather.

I've bought covers in the past that seem to rip at the first sleight of wind. This one seems to be holding up. Pretty decent already to fit. Was pretty decent. Could have been a little bit longer but it's still covered the area well. Material feels then but seems strong. Time will tell but so far so good ... show more

We purchased the 12ft. cover for our Intex Pool. It fits nicely and seems to be well made. It definitely helps keep the water clean. It ships with four tent-type stakes to help the cover stay put, and we feel it helps to use them. The product is made of thin material, but it looks like it should last a few years. If you have animals who like to chew on things, it probably won't. And, it certainly wouldn't hold a pet or child from falling into a pool if they happened to climb on top of it. ... show more

I enjoy this pool cover. It does heat the water pretty well in the sun but only the top 8in or so. The only thing I don’t like is that it isn’t solid construction and it isn’t waterproof at the seams.
