I purchased this kettle over comparable models primarily based on its understated looks, slender profile, and value. I am very happy with the purchase. It seems sturdy and cleans up well. The fact that it's nearly silent is either this kettle's best selling point or biggest detractor. You can tell when it's heating by the orange light on the flip lever, which goes off after it boils. However, after several days of use I have yet to HEAR it turn off or notice much steam being released. This has taken some getting used to as my previous model sounds and puffs like a freight train. I highly recommend the kettle if you tiptoe around when a baby is asleep or have a pet afraid of whistling/whooshing noises. If you're prone to forgetting you've turned it on you'll probably be disappointed that there's no beep or other indicator that the water is hot. However, it heats to a boil extremely quickly, so turning it back on is no big deal. I imagine this will last for years of daily use, but will update if it doesn't hold up.

I had to replace the first Cooktron electric kettle, it came cracked on the bottom by the screws it looked like it was manufactured that way, I sent the cracked one back and they sent me another one in a couple of days, and this one was perfect, seems to function well, I’ve only had it about a week now. It is a little heavier than my last kettle, but I like that it is stainless steel, and the water heats fast, and it is quiet and the color green is pretty.

I miss watching the water boil in colored light while the room is dark, but that's all I miss about my glass tea kettle. I bought a beautiful electric glass tea kettle, it was white plastic, had clear glass, and a green light around the heating element; while I was washing it, it hit the steel faucet and shattered like those blue and white Corell dishes my aunt used to have back in the day... cleaning up the broken glass was a pain, and in the end I had to use my vacuum cleaner to ensure all the tiniest bits of glass was swept away, so when I was shopping for a new one I was the plastic ones, and then I ran across this beauty. The fact that it was stainless steel appealed to me more than plastic, but the price was a lot higher... and then I saw a "used like new" option on a black one that less expensive than some of the newer plastic kettles, and I bought it. Let me tell you that while I'm happy I got a deal, this kettle is absolutely worth the 30 dollars they were charging... especially if you consider that the stainless steel will last much longer than glass or plastic, buy it, you'll probably love yours as much as I do. This electric kettle is so very quiet that I sometimes check if I hit the ON button. It works quickly. Holds a good amount. The sides of the kettle do not get hot so you won’t burn your hand grasping the handle. The top gets a little warm but feels safe to touch. The only flaw is that it doesn’t have mesh at the poor spot to catch mineral deposits (scale). The holes it does have do not block out small deposits. Just need to remember to give it an occasional vinegar soak to loosen the scale, pour it out, and rinse well.

I use an electric kettle from early morning till night--so much so that I should be an official tester! I have had plenty of kettles over the years. My daughter bought one of these kettles for herself and sent me a video to show how unbelievably quiet it is. So many kettles sound like a jet taking off as they heat up. When I first used it I wondered if it was working because I heard nothing until the water was fully boiled. And, it was so much faster than my other kettles. This kettle is very sleek looking. The flexible cord makes placing the kettle where I want it on the counter much easier. It stays cool to the touch, the surface is easy to wipe clean, and it doesn't tend to drip like other kettles. I have spent four times this much on inferior kettles by some of the best-known brands. I am spoiled for all other kettles to the point that I'm willing to give up some shelf space to keep a spare. Save yourself the money and noise pollution from other kettles!

Had to replace my last kettle after a little over a year and this is by far a better kettle, perhaps the best one that I have ever owned. It is fast, quiet and easy to clean. I only fill 1/2 way as it is too heavy for me to lift otherwise. I wanted another white one but the black one is fine and is a major improvement over my last one and I hope that this one lasts. It was 26 bucks which is a steal and I am satisfied with the quality. Wish they would stock other colors so I could give as a gift. Really nice kettle and so quiet.

I originally purchased a water kettle by Dash. It was very cute, but kept breaking down. It was not made very well. I went through 2 of them & when the 3rd one started leaking, I decided to give up & try this one. I’m very happy. It’s sturdy, and the stainless lining is all one piece so it can’t ever leak. I only received this today, and it seems to work well. Heats reasonably quickly, and the large size is great. Outside doesn't get hot at all. I've had several electric kettles over the years, and I have to say this one is by far the quietest. I can't speak to its longevity, but I will update if it has any major issues. Overall seems like a solid kettle at a reasonable price.
