- Operation Instruction: Normal Charging: To begin normal charging, first ensure the electrical outlet and wiring are functioning properly, then connect the charger to the power supply. If adjustment is needed, press the A button to change the current level. After confirming the vehicle's parking brake is engaged, insert the charging gun into the 5-pin AC charging port to initiate charging. Disconnecting the Charge:Press and hold the Time button for 5 seconds to stop charging. Once the display confirms charging is complete, the charging gun will automatically power off. Press the vehicles remote unlock button and remove the charging gun.
- Scheduled Charging: First, connect the power source. Do not plug the vehicle in until you've set the scheduled time. Example: If the current time is 7:00 PM and you want charging to start at 11:00 PM, set the delay to 4 hours (i.e., 11:00 PM - 7:00 PM). After inserting the charging cable, the screen will display "Scheduled Charging" and begin the countdown.
- Important Notes & Service: The charging current of the Toptoo charger must not exceed the rated current of your power outlet.Before use, ensure the power outlet is not worn out or of poor quality. Do not use damaged or counterfeit outlets, as they may overheat and pose safety risks.Toptoo is not responsible for accidents caused by improper charging setups (non-compliant wiring or electrical standards).This product comes with a 1-year. This is perfectly reasonable EVSE for backup use, such as leaving in your car's trunk. The main unit is reasonably sturdy, the cord is well insulated, and the feature set is adequate. Charging at the full 16A for a few hours, it never reported a temperature higher than 41°C. The internal construction is also clean. The J1772 connector feels cheap, gets stuck in a Toyota bZ4X socket, and doesn't quite 100% fit in a gen2 Nissan Leaf socket. Still, as one of the least expensive EVSE models on Amazon, I expected far less. The only problems are a lack of ground fault protection, and quite broken ground presence detection. The former can be mitigated with an upstream GFCI (e.g. in the receptacle or at the breaker panel). The latter is puzzling, but (perhaps worryingly) it never prevented my EV from charging. If you use this EVSE regularly, just remember it may lack some crucial safety features.

Excellent charger. I've only used it so far as level 1. Will update when I hook up level 2 at home. LCD display on the cable shows you output and total usage cumulatively over time, assuming you keep the cable plugged in between uses.

Whatever you do, don't tell this thing to stop charging by pressing the "T" button. Because it *will* stop charging, and it will never ever start charging again. It won't matter that you unplug in and plug it back in, or that you drive the vehicle and then try to charge it, or that you press the "T" button over and over and over again. It will never charge. It will happily connect to the vehicle. You will be able to set the (now entirely theoretical) current level, or the charge duration. All of these things will change. But no current will flow to the car EVER AGAIN. POS charger.
