We received our scooter in a torn and retaped box with a hole in it. The unit NEVER was operable. We used their email contact to try to get some technical assistance and the company never responded on their site. They provided a phone number but after the system answered the recording informs that the mailbox is full. After several days we received an e-mail message that since we purchased it from Amazon they could not answer our questions unless we went through Amazon. We complied but Zipr never answered and only would respond that we had to return the unit at our expense and would be charged a 15-25% restocking fee based on how long it took to return it. No company rep ever answered our technical questions. We could only make customer service calls to Amazon to get any type of response. It cost us over $335 and much effort to find a box and send it back. The scooter weighed over 120 lbs. We had to make a claim to Amazon for their A to Z guarantee to kick in and reimburse us. We are in our 70s and I have a mobility issue so this process was very difficult and stressful. We contacted the Better Business Bureau in the State of Washington and learned they have an F rating.

My brother and I got this for our Dad and it is wonderful. It really does go for miles on end on a charge, and has been in the green for the entire 6 months my dad has had it. It says it's rated for something some number of miles (12? 20?) but I almost just ignored that as wishfull thinking, until my Dad called me up and started telling me all the places he'd gone with that thing. He drives it up and down steep hills, on sidewalks, miles and miles. I am astonished, as I never expected it to perform as well as it claims to but it does. -1 star because the headlight was damaged when it arrived, and while I registered the product for the warranty as soon as it arrived I never heard back from them again, and never did get that headlight plate fixed. My dad and I love to go to the anual Gas, Steam, and Horse show, and we thought last year would be the last one ever, as it's just too hard on his back to walk far. But this year we saw more of the show than we ever have, and he even left me in the dust at one point and buzzed up a hill. When I cought up to him he said he was afraid he'd need a run at it. Pfft! They only person struggling to run up that hill was me, the traveler just zipped up that thing like it was flat.

I am very pleased with this scooter! It maneuvers easily. The bottom and back seat are cushioned and very comfortable. Many good comments when I was out with it. Easy to get in and out of with swivel seat. My husband takes it apart and reassembles it quickly. Great buy!
