Bought this for doing roof inspections on commercial roofs. What a great pc of technology. Also works good at night spotting wildlife, not for hunting obviously but just cool!

    • Performs great, thermal works like a champ
I flew several day and night missions with this drone. The camera clarity is exceptional while flying daylight hours at 150-200 ft. The thermal is excellent, i could identify what animals I was looking at from 100 ft. The controller screen is very visible in sunlight and the large screen is much better than looking at my phone. The explorer app is a wonderful bonus and covers multiple types of flying needs with precision. The only thing negative I can say is the zoom does get grainy and I lost connection a couple of times while flying below 100ft but I was not surprised (east texas pine trees) but controller and drone reconnected quickly. The battery life is great. I had low wind while flying but will be testing it on the coast of Galveston to see how it handles the ocean conditions. ... show more

I just got the drone about a week ago and absolutely love it. It is very user friendly and easy to fly. The image quality is top of the line. I’ve flown it during the day and at night with no problem! I would recommend this drone to everyone!

An incredible amount of technology is packed into this Drone. The capabilities far exceed your understanding when you first dive into the operating this technical marvel. It’s like when I purchased a Porsche Turbo S some years ago. It’s capabilities far exceeded my understanding and ability. The learning curve was incredible and fun with systems like Porsche Stability management system that would override my inputs when I did something stupid that would have gotten me injured or killed. This drone has similar Gerard rails that help prevent you from injuring or killing your drone. All in all having fun diving deep into its capabilities. If you can acquire an Autel drone you will not be disappointed. On the technical support side I think I messed up things when I initially received my unit and tried to upgrade the app. I had to send the smart controller in and they upgraded everything for me and returned it promptly.     • Is the AUTEL EVO II Dual 640T Enterprise Remote ID Compliant?
The EVO 2 Dual 640T is a Great Drone. However, if it is not Remote ID Compliant, starting September of 2023 you will not be able to fly the drone unless you add an external remote ID Module. Considering the price you are paying for this drone, and the knowledge from AUTEL of this requirement from the FAA, AUTEL should provide the module to those who purchased these drones in 2023, since they have knowledge of the regulations being enforce in September of 2023. Most who paid over $4000.00 for the EVO2 should be provided with the module free of charge. Otherwise, prepare to keep your drone on the Bookshelf or be ready to pay a hefty fine for not having the Remote ID Module on the Unit. As of this time. As of today, the EVO 2 Dual 512 Enterprise is not listed on the Aircraft Declaration of the FAA webpage, therefore non compliant to fly without the Remote ID as of Sept 2023. ... show more
