This chain harrow has been a great addition for working on our property. It does a really good job of breaking up the soil, smoothing out uneven areas, and pulling loose rocks and debris together. We used it to clean up and level a rough dirt area, and the difference was noticeable after just a few passes. The 5' x 4.5' size is a good balance—not too large to maneuver, but still covers a decent amount of ground. The tines are sturdy and aggressive enough to work through compacted soil, and it was easy to hook up and use. It feels well-built and heavy-duty, and I especially like that the drag can be adjusted depending on how aggressively you want it to work. Great tool for maintaining dirt roads, driveways, pastures, or other areas around the property. Definitely recommend! 🌱👍

Well-priced, great heavier weight, good welds, and HD hardware, this harrow appears to be durable and is going to be handy for a long time. The crate was a little tricky for me to figure out, but once opened unrolling the unit was straight forward. Minor assembly (attaching the drag to the bar) was easy with the provided locking carabiners. I acquired this harrow for easy road fixes- we live in the hills on some acreage and have dirt access roads all over the property. It rains pretty hard up here and we end up with some wash out (which we use the tractor to correct as needed) and those dirt roads get rough- between the rains, hoof traffic from our horses, tire traffic from our vehicles beat up those dirt access roads. I don’t always have time or want to use bigger machinery and being able to just attach this to my UTV and make a couple of passes to tidy things up will be great! *the pictures are from this week when the unit arrived. The two delivery drivers were courteous, professional, and set the crate where I needed it: over on the side dirt driveway near trailers where I could easily have the unit directly on the dirt when connected and not have me trying to figure out how to move it off of the long asphalt driveway by myself. I’m grateful! Pictures: I got the crate open and that is what was immediately seen (also patting myself on the back for getting it open lol), to when I first attached in my UTV (the image that shows a little dirt dragged and the harrow not straight to the UTV), the last photos are my first start on dragging then two views after I completed the three passes on the side driveway, down to my barn and back. My UTV is a 4-seater so it’s a little long and doesn’t make small turns- that could be a tiny bit of a pain if you can’t make the turns and it’s not a device you can back up with but our side drive access is wider and I was able to drive down to and around the barn. The quad or a 2-seater UTV would do much better with making smaller turns! At the size of 5’x4’ it hauls easily behind my side-by-side or quad and it still easy enough to hand drag off to the side of an area to ‘park’ it when a task is finished. This next week I’ll try it on our arena and see what that possibility looks like compared to our big ABI arena drag (which has depth control)..but it just might work in there with the quad for the edges, I’ll circle back and note if it’s a fail. So far, I’m very pleased with this purchase!

I bought this to rake out manure in my pasture. I had previously purchased a cheaper harrow made from chain link. It had to be weighted, and after a while, it started unraveling. This harrow is MUCH better. I don't need to weight it, and it is built really well. It doesn't break down every single turd, I'd need something with smaller tines closer together for that I suppose, but smaller tines would probably not hold up as well, and I'm satisfied with the result. It's not too heavy for this 60 plus year old woman to drag a few feet from its storage place to the back of the quad for hook up. Worth the money in my opinion.

Doing the job, few complaints... Why powder coat? It all peels off the first time you use it, all drag harrow are going to surface rust Little on the light side, when dragging in "aggressive" direction, the back corners will bounce and eventually flip up and over. I solved it by threading an old logging chain through the end. Supplied carabiners work but the vibrations cause the safety lock collars to unthread. We use it to bust up and spread cattle poop in our pastures and to resurface our gravel driveway. You'll need the old chain link fence piece to smooth out the grooves afterwards but it does dig up the compacted ture grooves. It is 1/2 inch tines

Extremely well built and heavy duty! I'm primarily using it to drag a 60ft round pen and it's very effective in breaking up and leveling hard packed sand. I've also started using it to drag established base roads and its working perfectly. I'm pulling the 4ft x 4ft model with a pretty stout ATV and it can struggle a little at times so I would be mindful how large of a drag you order based on the machine you're planning to use. I should have ordered this years ago!

This tool is high quality materials designed to do the job. It is heavy. I like to pull it behind my utility vehicle with tines (spikes) on bottom to loosen and prepare soil for seeding. After seeding… I like to physically flip the Harold so that the kind are now facing upward and re-pull. get over the same areas that have been seated. This helps place the seeds so that there’s slightly covered and will more easily germinate and grow. The second price with the spikes upward also levels and finishes the top grade of the soil. The only issue I have with it is that it is very heavy and physically moving that from spikes down to spikes up position is pretty physically demanding. There is no answer for that because it’s heavy but design and needs to wait to tear property to tear up the soil but the second person to help turn it would be a great help. in short, mine worked great. I highly recommend.

Heavy mini-harrow works well. Draws well behind UTV or riding mower. Two sided - one side is more aggressive and handles the gravel driveway super well and levels land for new seeding well. The other side is more of a finish harrow and smooths rather than digs in prep for planting grass. Overall great value for the $$. Be aware it is heavy so flipping sides takes some effort.

THE DEVICE IS STURDY AND DURABLE, BUT ON CLAY, IT NEEDS WEIGHT TO BREAK THE GROUND JUST AN INCH OR SO, BUT IF YOU ARE USING A LAWN TRACTOR ON POINTED SIDE (HAVE A 22 HP JOHN DEER).
