Took some time to assemble but worth it. An hour of leisurely work. But instructions were outstanding. Hardest part was mounting but with 2 people and making sue of your measurements you will be fine. Installed on my wooden tiki bar to provide some cover during heavy rain. Tried it out and just had it halfway out and worked perfectly. Even in heavy gusts of wind or didn't waver or budge. But note what height you mount caise it slopes. I have it only 7 feet above and when open completely you will have to duck under of you are 6 feet. No biggie. Better the coverage. Wife loves it. Very attractive and will keep my bar friends dry and out of the sun. Would recommend highly.

This awning is a great value. My cabin faces east and the sun blasts strong light straight into my kitchen and living room. This awning diffuses the sunlight perfectly. Installing the awning was easy. It comes with anchors for masonry, I used big lag screws to install mine into wooden framing beams. I’m very happy with my awning and would recommend it to anyone who has a problem with intense sunlight coming into their home.

Great product… Good quality materials and fairly easy for assembling and installation. However, I had to go to the hardware store and buy anchor bolts for mounting into a brick wall. The bolts that come with it is for solid concrete and will not fit in the mortar between the bricks. Also would recommend to make the bracket holes where they are spaced to fit in the mortar between the brick; I had to mount top hole in the mortar and bottom hole of bracket in the brick…Pic of bracket shows rough dimensions and yellow mark suggest modifications to brackets for manufacture.

It looks great. I didn't even have to look at the instructions once. The video is all you need to be able to easily install this. Since I'm not a real construction guy, I wasn't sure if the hardware given for mounting was only for concrete or brick, so I went to The Home Depot to get some wood mounting hardware. I ended up installing a 2x6x10 to mount it on, because I wouldn't have been be able to line up the brackets to studs. Again I don't know if the given hardware would have worked or not, but what I used is holding up fine so far. I didn't have to do any measuring they show you in the video from bracket to bracket, once you install one you can piece it together and easily mark the holes for the second.

This was very easy to assemble by myself. The instructions were easy to understand. It’s made to mount into a concrete wall, so getting it mounted through the siding into the wood wall was a little difficult, but it worked out. It works nicely and I feel like it was a great purchase.

I have been looking for a retractable awning for a couple of years, but I've been put off by the cost. I hade been looking at the Sunsetter brand. Probably an awesome brand but, I don't think it could be that much better and certainly not more functionable for the price. I installed by myself and I'm 70. We'll see how it lasts but I see little reason I couldn't expect a couple of years. I have not checked to see if they sell the replacement canvas part.... that would be nice to know. I did think I had a missing part that I email the mfg about. They immediately sent out another part. On comparison, I determined I actually had it. My bad and thanks to them! The picture of the part in the instructions isn't very accurate for the part. It's a bushing that goes on one end of the canvas roll. So far I'm very satisfied.

This specific retractable roof it's totally different I purchase previously from other vendors very complicated assembly makes it much more difficult to install it just a different setup different model some parts need to be installed first and then complete the assembly of the roof itself
