Container is waaay nicer than the typical bottles you have to use 2 hands to squeeze out, eg with this I can just leave it on the counter and grab some with one hand, vs having to pick up a bottle and squeeze it out, then put it back on the counter where dye gets on the side and bottom of the bottle and thus counter. The actual purple is comparable to the prev fox-y one I was using, seems to last about as long, doesn't smell like candy but oh well.

So as far as the color pigment penetration, this product is supreme. I have curly hair 3C type about 50% gray. I’ve been grey since 13. Also been dying my hair since then as well. (Did not have to bleach my hair.) However It made my hair quite difficult to detangle, there was at least twice as much downfall as usual. My hair behaved as it does when there is too much product build up. I washed and detangled my hair prior to application. Let it dry completely then applied it using gloves (is a must!) I had to wash it out and apply leave-in conditioner to detangle it after applying the color. It was very vibrant. So if you have straight hair perhaps it won’t be as much of a problem, but if you have to bleach it definitely use a deep conditioner afterwards. I would not use this product again without pairing it with a deep conditioner before trying to detangle hair. I hope this was helpful. The pic is a comparison to how much hair usually comes out when detangling and how much came out after dying. The color is also much more vibrant than before.

My child has wanted to blue hair for a long while. I finally caved and said I would do it for him. I love Brad Mondo so much I wanted to try his colors because majority of the fun colors fade so fast and you don’t get very much in the jars to work with. I ordered super blue and WOW. It’s beautiful. It smells super good. There was a lot in the jar to do his full head I maybe used a quarter of the jar. I did lighten his hair prior to use so we would get the brightest blue we could. It’s just beautiful the color. I would recommend this product for vibrant colors! You get lots to work with if you have thick hair. I also recommend lightening hair prior to achieve the brightest potential of the color you want. The hair is soooo soft after using as well. We rinsed it super well and it has not bled onto pillows or anything.

To start, I applied to virgin hair without bleaching first as this was a depositing test. My color came out more reddish than the swatch online shows. I have golden blonde natural hair. My experiment was due to shaving the back of my head from ear to ear horizontally due to menopause sweat. The remainder of my hair remains long. After shaving, it looked bald, due to my hair being naturally light. I got the Mondo product to allow the ability to change colors if I didn't like it. I know red tends to hold better on my natural hair, but this color was mostly gone in 3 days. I'd left the color on for 2hrs as well. Pros: No staining when rinsing No pillow stains Hair does not feel dry or brittle Cons: Applying to natural without bleach does not last Color looks more red in jar and applied more red Significant fade after 1 day Almost gone in 3 days As someone who needs to shampoo daily, I know it would fade much faster, but had higher hopes on longevity. The color did not transfer to everything my head touched, which was good. The hair that was colored was cut just prior with a #1 / 3mm guard. Much of the color ended up on my skin. The intended effect of not looking bald was accomplished.

I am giving only 4 stars because I was sent the wrong color. Doing an exchange in hopes of getting the right one. I've used MondoX color for a while now. My hair is always shinny and soft. So you can imagine my surprise when I opened the box and instead of the blue purple shift, I got an orange ish red? My hair needs to be touched up and hydrated! MondoX does that all in one jar, and it smells really nice. As an older lady I dont care for the grape soda smell from the other brand, I do love that at my age I can express myself I a fun way that my hair loves! Easy to apply and rinses out pretty easily. Yes it fades quickly, but my hair is soft and shinning the entire time! I will always purchase MondoX and always use it
