We got these string lights last season and they were a perfect addition to provide some nice ambience to our newly-renovated pool. There's a mobile app that allows you to control on/off, light brightness and some other settings that we haven't used. After a very intense windstorm, one of our strands was ripped off the hook and apparently took a pretty hard hit to the concrete. Some of the bulbs no longer worked. After trying a few different bulbs on Amazon that didn't work, I reached out to XMCosy+ directly. First, I purchased these for the fact that they were smart and Alexa compatible so I can program them to come on at certain times. Which these lights have and works amazing! The quality is great and they feel really sturdy and well made. I have no concerns of them holding up in the weather. I also chose this because the length of the wire you plug in to the first lights is long. Makes instal a lot easier. The light is a perfect warm white and being able to control the brightness is another great feature. I love that. It adds a nice glow to our outdoor space. This set of lights also come with extra bulbs just in case any to out. I highly recommend these lights! They quality is worth the price! ... show more

** Update: Customer service contacted me after seeing my review and apologized for not responding to my previous requests. They offered to send me a new set, which I received within a couple of days, and the new lights work great. Once installed, I did not have to re-register and I could immediately control them through Alexa and the app. Very happy. ** I liked the string lights, until all the bulbs (but one) stopped working. I have bought multiple replacement bulbs and none of them work. I have troubleshooted several times. I contacted customer service several times as well and NEVER got a response. Disappointed. App is great. Set up was easy on my iPhone. You can control them from anywhere on your phone as long as the lights are on your wifi. Dimming is awesome. You can schedule them to turn off and on every day without ever touching the switch. My lights are about 75ft from my modem/router. The only downfall is at the very end of the lights, there is a small two prong adapter just in case you want to add more lights just as you would do with Christmas string lights and this company does not have the extension lights needed to plug into the lights. So my recommendation would be to buy the perfect length on your first purchase. I needed another 20-30 great feet and there is no extension to plug into the tiny prong adapter with their own product. Also be mindful of the distance between the first light and the last light so some math involved. The lights are great and function perfect. ... show more

** updated 2/2/2023 ** After emailing XMCOSY support, a very nice and helpful rep, Jane, walked me through troubleshooting and other suggestions. I had taken the receiver/transmitter portion of the light string and saw that the leads were corroded due to being outdoors. Even though there is a screw-down fastener and gasket, moisture still made its way in and caused the switcher to stop working. Jane offered to replace the unit, even though, technically, it was due to the elements and not manufacturer defect. She had one sent, and I just received and plugged it in and my lights are working again!! I have amended my initial 3 star review to 5 stars due to Jane's customer service and generosity in replacing the unit. I was fully expecting XMCOSY to say, sorry, not our fault, and be done with me, but Jane's (and XMCOSY's) belief in providing excellent customer service really made me happy in the end. Thank you, Jane, and XMCOSY!! ** original review ** We had a new deck installed in 2020 and had some taller poles installed on the railing opposite the house. The intent was to string some lights over the deck for ambient lighting at night. We got these string lights and set them up. Wifi setup was easy and we loved controlling via voice with our Google assistant or phones. From the jump, however, the lights were not as bright as we would have liked. We'd see other lights at restaurants, or outdoor areas, and they always seemed brighter; it's not like our back yard is darker than other outdoor spots. However, everything worked great until recently. Now, the lights do not turn on at all. I have tested the outlet (works) and the extension cord (works) and have determined that the XMCOSY+ Outdoor String Lights have failed. At this point, 2 years+ in, they're likely out of warranty. I guess we've gotten good use out of them. However, I certainly didn't expect them to fail now. It just means we have to order new lights and spend an hour tearing down and then restringing the new lights. Unfortunately, due to the aforementioned reasons, we will likely be purchasing a different brand moving forward. ... show more

I have had this product for over a year. Worked great, app was great, Lighting was great. I year later, my power supply did go bad. I was like, crud, I am sure this is out of warranty, and I may need to purchase a replacement. I thought I'll call/email customer support and see what can be done. Not only were they receptive to my issue, but they sent over (2) new power supplies at no cost, and were so responsive, I felt that they were more concerned about my problem being resolved than I.. I noticed when the new power supplies arrived, they were slightly engineered differently, as I think the old ones might have had some issues with the waterproofing. The new ones are installed, and are back to working great. I did take a small clear plastic bag and wrapped it around the power supply to dis-allow water entrance issues. Anyway, I would recommend this product, and will stand behind its customer services as being top notch. ... show more
