I don't write a lot of reviews, but I felt compelled to write one on this product. First off, I have never owned a projector. I've always had a flat panel tv. Some of my friends have projectors set up in their homes, and they swear by it, so I thought it was a cool idea to try one in mine. After researching different brands, I settled on this product because it was loaded with so many features like 4K, Dolby Vision, Android TV, Google Voice, built in Harmon Kardon speakers, high lumens, etc. But the biggest deciding factor is that it was so much cheaper than other brands with similar features. (almost half the price!) I also liked that it was smaller and more sleek looking than other large bulky units I saw, which allows me to take it outside or travel with it, if I wanted. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the packaging. It had a very premium, luxury feel to it. The projector feel and look was much more sleek than I expected. A lot of thought and care went into the customer experience. The setup was super easy and literally took less than 5 min. All I had to do was plug it in, connect to wifi, and that was it! I had all the streaming apps at my fingertips. Where I became astonished, was the quality of the picture. I was expecting there to be some loss of definition in the image, but I couldn't believe how unbelievably great the picture was. It was better than my flat panel tv! The definition is so good that I can actually see the individual hair follicles on the actors skin! Are you kidding me??? I'm astonished at how amazing this product is. I was looking for something to replace my old projector for something newer and brighter, and the XGIMI did the job. I originally had a 4 year old projector with only 150 ANSI lumens and stepping up to this one was a huge improvement. The XGIMI calls for 600 ISO lumens, which translates to roughly 480 ANSI lumens. So compared to my old one it’s triple as bright. You can see on my comparison picture, which is taken during the middle of the day so some ambient lighting and the left is my old, the right is my new. The left is maybe 40” and the right is at 90” and the difference is extremely apparent. Even with the old projector being significantly closer, which in most cases would call for a brighter image, it does not compare with the XGIMI. The image is far more crisp and far more bright, as you’d expect with it being a higher lumen. The interface is pleasant, I enjoy not having to plug an hdmi in to get any content, with this once I hook it up to my WiFi, it’s got everything I would need. The auto focus and auto keystone is great and works fantastic. The sound is quite loud considering how small it is. I use my projector primarily to bring with me on vacations, to a family gathering, a friends house, you name it, I needed something small and compact enough to put in a backpack and this did the trick.     • Great little (not tiny) projector
I bought this one for the light output, size and speaker. Although not the smallest, we need it for projecting in rooms where there still is some ambient light - the smallest ones would not be bright enough. Setup is easy - but do note you need to have wireless and sign into Google. In use it auto-sizes, keystones and focuses, the output is fairly bright and very crisp, and the speaker sounds great. It is a nice size, but I would say the power supply makes the overall package a little larger than I wanted. Still it is a good deal lighter and smaller than our older Epson, great for traveling presentations. ... show more

    • Excellent All Purpose Projector
I had done a lot of research into projectors before I bought this projector, and got it on a prime day sale for around 500 and I couldn't be happier. Brightness and colors are pretty important to me, and this projector has not disappointed. The included android tv experience is excellent and I have used that way more than I originally expected I would. The headphone port works perfectly and does pass through the sound when I plug something into the HDMI. I have it set up in my dorm room mounted on a shelf, but it is awesome that it is so low wattage because I have been able to take it on camping trips and the like. The internal speakers are not half bad either, about as good as like a basic 10w Bluetooth speaker. The image looks awesome and the colors are excellent. The auto keystone is particularly impressive. My only gripe is that I have had some issues with it not holding it's focus, because it will get a little blurry even though it hasn't moved, but it's as simple as a couple clicks with the focus button on the remote so it's not a big deal. ... show more
