  • One of the best smartwatches as a Triathlete
Color: Whitestone with Amp Yellow
One of the best smartwatches I’ve used as a triathlete. Comes with a built in triathlon function that can track all 3 sports + transition times. Battery life lasts pretty much 2 weeks and recharges while I’m in the shower. Garmin also syncs all data from the Forerunner 970 with the Edge bike computers and connects with their heart rate straps and if you use a Wahoo/Zwift trainer everything syncs together as well. Display is super bright and comes with an always on display now + built in flashlight at the top which is probably one of the best things about the watch. I’ve also seen zero scratches on the display so I can attest the sapphire display they use is definitely more durable than my last Apple Watch’s display glass. It takes some getting used to compared to how easy Apple Watches are to pick up immediately but everything just makes sense once you figure it out. ... show more

  • This watch is worth every penny!
Color: Carbon Gray with Black
This is the absolute best "smart watch" that has all the performance features I want even though, realistically, I won't use as many of them as I talked myself into believing when I made the decision to buy it. The Venu 4 was the other contender but I really wanted the on wrist color maps of the 970 even though the price was nearly $200 more. Another positive note on the new Garmin watches in general is the marked improvement in the UI and how customizable it is. My old Venu 2 Plus was very clunky and everything was buried deep in a chaotic menu structure. That watch, however, is still running strong. Other than theses points and the basic high quality of Garmin devices, the biggest advantage is the phenomenal battery life! I am getting 10-15 days depending g on how I use it. I have a Galaxy Ultra which I absolutely love but it needed to be charged everyday, even when not using workout features, which is why I was looking for replacement in the first place. If you can take the price hit, this is the beast to get. ... show more

  • The gadget that i always want to have.
Color: Carbon Gray with Black
As a recreational runner, the Garmin Forerunner 970 has proven to be a tremendous gadget that has truly transformed my training. The amount of data it collects is impressive, allowing me to monitor my progress with professional-grade accuracy. The device stores and translates complex metrics into a simple format, making it easier to make decisions to improve my fitness. I must admit that, at first, it is complicated to understand so much information and navigate through all the features it offers. However, once you get past the learning curve, it becomes indispensable. It is a powerful tool that, while offering elite-level functions, perfectly adapts to those of us who run for passion and health. A high-quality investment that keeps me motivated to keep clocking in miles! ... show more

  • Great Watch!
Color: Carbon Gray with Black
I’ve been using this for about 8 months now and I have zero complaints. I track my energy levels, sleep, steps, heart rate, and even more! The display is very easy to read, I use the flashlight feature multiple times a day, and the charge lasts two weeks! Despite my clumsiness, there is not a single scratch on it! Only complaint is that if im cleaning or scrubbing things, my hand will hit the side buttons and unintentionally start a workout. ... show more

  • Great fitness tracker all the bells and whistles and a built in flashlight!
Color: Whitestone with Amp Yellow
This has been a fantastic purchase! It is ready to go out of the box. It is everything I need in a fitness watch. It tracks so many metrics that help me prepare for the day and track my progress. Bukkt in Flashlight is something I didnt think I would use but its awesome.

  • Great watch for 90% of us.
Color: Whitestone with Amp Yellow
I’m not a crazy ultramarathoner, but i workout three times a week. I have health issues, and want to monitor my sleep and overall health. I want to stay in touch with work and get other alerts, but I need more than 50 minutes of battery life. ( Crap, I’m late for a meeting. And I forgot the milk. Again. ) I’ve found there are few watches for those needs, basically what most of us want. Right now your choices are a really expensive Apple Watch Ultra with terrible battery life or no smart watch features and great battery life. (Come on COROS! No calendar?! For reals?!). Garmin has owned the middle ground for a while now, but they have become increasingly expensive. The Venu 4 and Forerunner 570 are waaay too expensive at $550. The Forerunner 970 seems expensive but you get a lot - it’s essentially a plastic Fenix 8. Great battery life, lots of features, huge ecosystem, good software support. Over the past week, I’ve been to the boxing gym three times, saw dips in sleep quality during a stressful time at work, keep up with my idiot friends’ test messages, and can use the watch to alert me when I’m on call. And it still has 60% battery life. It fits my needs well. If you want a computer on your wrist - this isn’t the watch for you. If you run Ultramarathons across the artic - not for you. If it’s on sale and you are an average guy (or woman) like me, go for it. Thanks for reading! ... show more

  • A M A Z I N G
Color: French Gray with Indigo
This watch is awesome for the things it is capable to do for a runner, such as myself. I've moved on from a Samsung Watch 5(Samsung fan), to this and I have not been disappointed! I'd say it is pretty pricy, and this is my first time ever owning such a watch. I had picked this(2nd best) over Garmin's Fenix 8 (Their top watch), due to me not really wanting to pay a little extra for the extra features such as the Solar Charging or Longer battery life, because I don't mind charging my watch ever so often and I am not outside THAT much for it to make a difference. At least 2 hours at most for my training. The watch will last me a long enough (~10 to 14days) without charging and I am happy with that versus me having to charge my Samsung watch like 1.5x a day which was getting annoying. The quality of the watch is amazing, the Glass is supposed to be stronger than the Gorilla kind and the material of the bezel makes it look so premium. The charging speed is also pretty good, I don't realize how fast it charges but I know it's quick (~1hr) from 0 to 100. The sensors it has seems pretty good and capable of tracking my daily results. It is keeping me in shape. Overall I recommend for the runners or just anyone who likes to keep track of things or a good, lasting watch! ... show more
