Great little chipper that'll work great if you don't have huge branches

I bought this wood chipper to help me mulch up palm fronds, which I am constantly picking up or cutting in my yard since I'm in Florida. Half the time spent usually is cutting them up to fit into the trash can, but with this, if you cut the boot off and just feed it right through, it'll mulch it up into fine little mulch in seconds. It takes up way less space in the can this way also. It works great for this purpose, although it will eventually get clogged since some of the leaflets on the palm frond don't quite make it through the blade. But it's fairly easy to open and clean out and continue on. I would say it is louder than I expected for an electric item, but hey it's a wood chipper. I don't have a ton of space for storage, so it is a little bit bulky on its stand and wheels, and it can't be easily collapsed. But the wheels make it easy to transport and the storage issue is a minor thing compared to its functionality.

Powerful and effective chipper!

I was pleasantly surprised at the utility of this woodchipper. It was very easy to use - just feed branches and twigs into the chute, and it shreds them into wood chips. I used this to trim an overgrown weeping pine tree in my yard. Now the tree looks so nice and neat. Moreover, this gave me lots of wood chips which was perfect as mulch to put around the roots of other trees in the yard. This is one of those things that I regret I did not think of buying earlier. Assembling the unit was easy. The parts - wheels, stand, bag, etc. - are good quality and fit into place well. The unit is small enough and is easy to store in the shed.

Well built and good performance.

This 15amp chipper works very well on dead and live brush. I saved months of work breaking down to bad and waiting for trash collection with this unit. Took branches up to 1.5” and tons of brush (20’ high row of privet) and minced it all. The plunger was very useful and the blades are still very sharp after 4 hours of non-stop use. I would like a feed slot that is rectangular instead of the unusual curving shapes of this slot so branches could make it inside more easily. Over would recommend!

Perfect for small tree limbs

I bought this wood chipper as I don't want to rent a uhaul trailer and haul my yard debris to the mulch site 30 mins away. I have 7 crepe myrtle trees that grow very fast in my back yard and I had to trim them down every year to be not an eyesore. This wood chipper makes quick work of all the tree limbs and gives back nice wood chips to be spread back around their trunks. Some things I notice on this little machine is that it's better to have the limbs dried out first. The fresh leaves can cling and clog the blades. For thicker limbs around 1.5in, don't just shove them continuously, hold them every inch or so, so that the blade can regain its momentum. This saves the machine from stopping from the overload.

I’m honestly really happy with this wood chipper. We’ve used it for cleaning up branches around the yard and it made the job so much easier. It was simple to put together, easy to move around, and I was surprised by how well it handled the branches we tried. I also really like having the collection bag because it keeps everything much cleaner. It’s been very useful around the house and I’m glad we bought it.

Excellent product, questionable support

This is an excellent machine for chipping wood -- my compost heap loves those wood chips! There are a few warnings you should heed, however. First, I called their support line and was told the number is out of service. They did respond to an email, after a few days, and their response would have solved the problem I was having, but I had already returned the machine for a replacement (the problem was with me, not the machine.) Second, if you search Amazon for a "cardboard shredder", this is included in the search results. This is not a cardboard shredder! Cardboard will jam the machine. Finally, should have to open the machine to, for example, clear such a jam, you then make sure you have properly closed it or it won't power on. You have to close it and screw it down, and getting the screw fastened is not a simple task. If the screw continues to turn, you are not done. You may not even be in the hole. Persevere until you're sure, and neither the screw nor the cover will move. (I gave four stars instead of five because of the telephone problem, not the chipper itself.)
