I bought this for my son. We assembled it together. The instructions are not remotely great but you kind of muddle through and figure it out. It took us about an hour to assemble. Once you get past the assembly, it is actually quite a sturdy and functional piece of work out equipment. The back and seat are actually pretty comfortable and it has a variety of exercises you can do on it. There is no concern with sturdiness, but I will say my son is not a tall or large person. He's about 5'5" and weighs 145 lbs. I don't think I would recommend this for someone who is a tall person as I don't think they would find it comfortable. Our bench came with the arm pulls and those work great. My son is enjoying using the arm pulls. It comes with a sturdy clip to attach to the bar that holds the weights in the bottom front section for the leg lifts and arm pulls. The size of weights it needs have a center hole opening of 1". All in all - very happy with the purchase and outside of some initial assembly challenges due to the instructions, for what you pay, this seems like a good quality piece of equipment that is very functional.

Bought this bench for abdominal work and leg extension/hamstring curl. I’m 5’2, 130 lbs and this bench is great for me. It’s sturdy and was super easy to put together. Very functional piece of equipment- I’m very pleased. I would say it probably fits a small-medium sized human best. I could see someone tall having trouble with the leg part- but for me it’s perfect!

I should have known by the price how poorly this would work. It was super flimsy. Two of the nuts were stripped out from the factory so it was really hard to bolt together. The bench was very poorly designed and the leg curl portion is unusable because it would knock against the leg rest riser way before a full range of motion. Also, the bar to put weights on for the leg curl is so low that no weights would fit because they hit the floor. The arm curl was welded wrong and was very crooked and unusable and looked ridiculous because it was welded wrong. The only thing about it that I liked was it was very poorly packaged to begin with and thus was easy to cram back into the box and tape it up to return it.

Like others have warned, this weight bench is so small that people taller than 5'7" will have a hard time using it, if at all. Unfortunately, it is the area that most interested me, the leg extensions/leg curls, that was the most disappointing: A) I am 5'7", and the seat is barely wide enough to be useful, and not long enough to do the leg exercises comfortably, or even practically. I have to place a thick cushion, since the thighs protrude beyond the seat, which limits the weights you can use comfortably since they press/crush your thighs against the very edge of the seat when doing leg curls. B) As others have said, the bench is so low that your feet touch the floor at the lowest point of the leg extensions. I have to place a 2x4 underneath each of the two legs to elevate the bench more. You have to design your routine so you always keep your heels in the air, not letting it touch the end of the bench. Since I do low weight/high and varied reps, I can go around that weakness. C) The foam pads are barely long enough to fit your feet lift the weights. Your feet, or the pads, tend to slowly slide off with each repetition, and I often have to adjust my feet position on the fly. They (and the metal tube they are inserted to) need to be a few inches longer. Now, for the price (and the other reviews), I probably shouldn't complain too much. I knew what I was getting into. I simply couldn't afford at the time any of the other units at twice the price and more with the rare leg exercise attachment. What I will do in the future to ameliorate these drawbacks are the following: A) Get 2 in. x 12 in. x 8 ft. lumber (wider than 12" if available), bolts, thicker foam cushions, and some vinyl or canvas to make a longer, more comfortable seat, so my legs aren't hanging in the air at the end, and I can safely add more weights. The padded back is adequate enough as it is for me. B) Get longer foam foot pads rollers, but not so long they go too far beyond the tube support. I wish I knew how to weld things. I can't fix the height so propping it up with 2x4s will have to do.

Product came assembled, but in the compact storage configuration. Took about 5 minutes to convert from storage to “ready for use” configuration. Very easy and intuitive to set up. I am 5’10” and 220 lbs, for a compact bench relatively stable and comfortable. This is a trade off for the compact storage capability. If you need the compact storage capability, I highly recommend. If you do not need compact storage, you can get higher stability and comfort with a standard weight bench. The model I purchased is the basic and does not include the leg lifting attachment.

Im 5’ 4 female and had huge problem using the leg extension and leg curl. It’s too small and short. No range in motion allowed. My barbell weights don't fit on the weight holder. Not sturdy. The metal bruised the inside of my leg from trying to do leg extensions because it’s so small and the way it’s built is extremely uncomfortable. Im so upset because i really thought this would be a great addition to my home gym. And it wasn't.

We needed a bench but one with the leg curl attachment and this fits the bill. I love the fact that it is red and black which is the color of our home gym and it was easy to put together. It works fine for the amount of weight we plan on using with it which isn’t too much- up to 40 lbs..
