What can I say, the PS5 fills up pretty quick with the size of games these days. This little NVMe drive installs quickly and easily, and now I have plenty of space to download all of the games my daughter and I play together... and sure, a few that are just mine too! Performance is very speedy and I can't really tell any difference between the OEM and this SSD as far as load times go. Both are WAY faster than even a really good USB drive used externally (where all of my PS4 games reside). Installation into my PS5 took less than 5 minutes. The PS5 has an open slot ready for this upgrade, so the existing drive remains there and I got 2TB in addition to the stock drive. After, you just format the drive from your PS5 storage menu and select it as your new default drive for new games. Very simple and works great. I purchased the digital version of the PlayStation 5 when it came out. I was already switching everything over to a digital format. I was tired of all the clutter of disk games, as well as movies. My only complaint about my PS5, was the storage capacity. So when I found that I could update to a 2t drive I did a little research, and found this product. I was hesitant at first, but after watching videos on how to install it, it was fairly easy. Now I have enough storage to keep playing games and do away with my external hard drive. Faster than the storage that comes with the PS5, this is perfect for loading and running all of those extra games that can be a struggle to offload to an external drive or just remove when not using. Significantly more space and super fast. Can't complain!

I wasn't sure if this was going to be worth it but it's been a game changer for me. Gone are the gut wrenching decisions of which game to delete which occurred way too often given new AAA games such as Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok are between 90 GB and 106 GB by themselves. Even with the fastest internet available to me (1GB/S) it still takes a long time to redownload one of these games so I end up just playing what I have ready. This has been a really nice quality of life change with every game I might possibly boot up at the ready and you can't tell a difference if its saved on the console or this SSD. ... show more

Well worth it. I tried an external hard drive but it only held PS4 games. This really upgrades your storage a must if you have the digital version of the PS5. Works great with the disc version if you have a lot of games.
