UPDATE**: the seller reached out to me and offered some new filters to replace the old one. The service rep was super nice and wanted to improve my experience. The new filters honestly are just as difficult to work with, but I think that’s just the way the filters are made. There is sand in it that can stop up the filter if it’s not flattened out correctly. Over time I have learned to work with the filter better so that I struggle with it less. But it certainly is a learning curve. I still really enjoy the taste of the water from this filter so I think it’s worth it, though still slightly annoying. Previous review: Honestly I am very disappointed in this product. I had really high hopes because I’ve heard people raving about it, and have seen some tests online saying it does a great job at filtering impurities. However, from the beginning I had issues with it. 1) the filter light kept blinking blue even though I tried to reset it by holding down the button for 5 seconds, several times. After a few minutes I eventually gave up and just put in the unit in the fridge. When I saw it later it had finally turned off. Not the worst thing, but mildly annoying. 2) the spout was hard to get in and it leaked really bad at first. I was eventually able to get it on correctly. But I also wish it poured water out faster. Since it’s in the fridge, I hate holding open the door so long for such a slow poring spout. Again, also not the worst but makes me anxious about wasted electricity. 3) my main grievance: the filter. I soaked the new filter properly and it worked fine for like 3 cycles of water (the first 2 of which had to be poured out according to instructions). Then it stopped working. Only one side of the two filter holes would let out water, then none. I tried to shake the filter horizontally as the instructions suggested several times, but that did not work. It would work for maybe a second and then go back to just one side, or start doing a super slow drip until it just stops working. Not to mention, having the take out the filter to shake it is such a hassle. You have to dump all the water you just put into the top, shake it, put it back, and then fill it up with water again to test. And if that doesn’t work, you have to do it all again. I probably wasted a lot of water trying to get it to work. I hope the company reaches out to me. Supposedly the customer service is really good, so we will see. I will say, the water that did come out tasted really good and clean. So I was really hoping this unit would work. I’ll sadly have to go back to my previous one with another brand if this one ends up not working out for me. ... show more

Love this system. It’s an easy way to keep up with my water intake without going through tons of plastic bottles. Easy to fill and easy to disassemble and wash. The filter indicator light is the reason I chose it so I can make sure to keep a clean filter at all times. I wish it came with instructions on how to set up the light, but all it took was a simple google search to sort out. Looks great on the counter, but would easily fit in even a compact sized refrigerator. Everyone in the house loves it and it’s much easier for the small kids to use than a traditional pitcher style filter. I love that I've been able to ditch bottled water with this product. The filter indicator doesn't work at all after a couple days, but I figure I'll just replace the filter once the water starts tasting a little off. The main attraction for me was that I'll stop throwing away tons of plastic water bottles every week. The garbage pail in my room has been needing to be emptied almost daily, which is very annoying. I'm also happy to waste fewer natural resources for my water habit. Having achieved that, I crunched the numbers. If the filters are, indeed, able to filter 200 gallons each, or even a little less than that, I'll be paying about the same amount of money for the water I drink, so that part of the equation works out, too. My daughters hate having to use a glass for water, but they also hated refilling the water bottles in the fridge and always "forgot" to do it. At least with this, I can refill it nightly, and I always have cool water to drink. ... show more

Having switched from a brita, I do enjoy the taste of this water better. We have pretty good water in Maryland, but it does taste better/crisper than our previous one did. The whole piece is slim and tall, nice fit for our fridge. I like the sliding lid/door to fill up instead of a pop-off style lid. Filters were affordable and it drips at a pretty decent pace. Love this water pitcher-fits perfect in my refrigerator and hold a lot of water! The filters do need to be shaken occasionally to work their best. When I had issues with the filter not allowing water to go through I contacted customer service and they immediately reached out to me and did all they could to fix the issue including sending me new filters. The Britta water filter we had kept leaking so we switched brands to this one. We like it. The water taste a little different but we got used to it. The filter gets clogged often so you have to take it out and shake it vigorously. A little shake won’t work.

I love water. I try different brands and usually only enjoy drinking natural spring water. Unfiltered tap water is something I can usually get used to, but not in my new area, it was was too bad. So I bought this, and the water tastes amazing. This has better capacity than other brands, longer lasting filters, and their customer service has been amazing. My son and I drink lots of filtered water. My previous water filter pitcher was not large enough for the two of us. The slim water dispenser fits perfectly on my refrigerator shelf. The rectangular shape is better than a round pitcher. The best feature is that it dispenses from the bottom. When you top off a filter pitcher you have to wait until you can pour water from it. But you can get water from the slim water dispenser right after you top it off. ... show more
