I will say upfront that this seems a lot of money for a water cooler, too much? A difficult question for me to answer as i have nothing comparable to compare it with. My $110 Primo cooler works but it is noisy and i suspect it uses a lot of electricity. It is quiet and only a little loud when it is running through its cooling ice making cycle; otherwise its noiseless. The quality is good and the bottle door seal is good with cooling lines running inside the door itself. So the water is nice and cold. I may use the hot water option for Tea but not sure how often i will use the ice function. I have a good under sink kitchen tap filter and pre filter so that water is easily good enough to use from the tap to refill the bottle. This is important as i live in a rural area; i would NOT use straight tap water in this unit. I will enjoy using this water cooler =) I use the 3 gallon jug as the gallon is too heavy for me. Simple to set up and use.

It’s what I was looking for. Just like getting ice from the fridge. But the water source is 3 or 5 gallon water bottles. My husband says the donut shaped ice cubes are perfect for blending in the blender. When he makes his daily frappuccino.

Atrocious customer service... couldn't care less about the customer experience on a brand-new product. The ice maker on our unit won't dispense ice - the auger motor is too weak to turn the auger to cause the ice to come out of the chute... so it just sits in the hallway doing nothing, because we can't get "customer service" to actually care about this or refund our purchase. The answer is always the same - "turn it off and let it sit for 2 hours". And we've done that, about 20 times now, and that's not going to somehow fix the broken/weak/poorly designed auger motor. Avoid this junk at all costs, because Brio WILL NOT support you.

The water dispenser I would give a overall a 8.5/10 there are a little minor things that are a bit weird but overall its very good. First of all this was super easy to install and works great. The water is easy to put in and the features are great. The water comes out very hot and the cold water comes out not as cold as fridge water but still pretty good. The only issue about this is the ice feature does melt inside after awhile and it will drop ice onto the floor by itself every once in awhile. I had to put a towel on the floor since it dropped like one ice cube every hour or so just continuously. Had this problem after like a week of using it and im guessing it could be from using the hot water feature while the ice mode is on. I ended up turning off the ice mode entirely which kind of sucked since the ice was very good and cold. Other than that there wasn't much problems with it and the overall noise is pretty low.

With two active daughters in the house, we go through a ton of water. I got tired of buying cases of plastic bottles and even more tired of hoisting those five-gallon jugs onto our old top-loading cooler. I decided to spend the money on this Brio 520, and I'm giving it a full five stars because it's a well-built machine that makes life a little easier. The biggest thing for me is the bottom-loading design. It is so much better to just slide the bottle into the cabinet at the bottom instead of trying to lift and flip that heavy thing without spilling it. My back appreciates that. The other major feature is the built-in ice maker. It's not a huge ice bin, but it makes a steady supply of bullet-shaped ice throughout the day, which is more than enough for our needs. The girls love having ice ready for their drinks, and it freed up some space in our main freezer. The water itself comes out nice and cold, and the hot water is perfect for a quick cup of tea. Now, let's talk about the price, because this unit is not cheap. It's a serious investment for a water dispenser. That's really my only dislike; the initial cost is high. But when I consider that it's a quality water cooler and a decent ice maker combined into one appliance, the value starts to make sense. It's quieter than I expected, except for the sound of ice dropping into the bin, which is normal. The UV self-cleaning feature gives me some peace of mind that the water lines are staying clean without me having to mess with it. For our family, the convenience and the dual function make it a worthwhile upgrade.
