Like exceeding amounts of chlorine or sulphur. I saw this pitcher and thought it'd be a better choice rather than adding things to all my faucets. The water fills up relatively quickly and tastes clean..no bad taste no smell. Best part is I use it to rinse my eyes since the faucet water was giving me steyes..yes multiple ones in each eye! It’s smaller than I thought it would be, I guess I don’t have a good gauge for how much water “7 cups” is. But it works great for me, and the water filters through quickly. I think it does a good job filtering the water as well.

    • This is a great pitcher except the lid will not stay on no matter what.

When you are pouring the water into your cup the white part of the top of the lid comes off it does not snap on completely no matter how much you try how much you maneuver it it does not stay put so you have to hold your hand in order to pour the water into a glass not that big of a deal but it's a little annoying beyond that it's a great water filter picture perfect size for the fridge and the water tastes great the design is the issue. ... show more

I am very happy with this filtered water pitcher. I had one other before this, can’t remember brand but was an Amazon recommended one, and the water had an odd taste. I have been happy with the taste of my water with this PUR product. I feel it is a good price and the replacement filters are not too crazy expensive. I have been diligent to replace every 2 months. Mine doesn’t have a light to remind me to replace but I didn’t want that option, just wanted something simple and effective. Depending on if you fill it directly from a refrigerator water dispenser, some fridge designs may make it difficult to fill through the lid-lift feature at the top, but the lid is easily removable and that is how I fill mine. ... show more

I chose this Pur water filtering pitcher over a Brita filter due to the fact that it claims to filter better than the Brita brand. The in-door water dispenser on my refrigerator is broken and this is a much cheaper solution than a new fridge. When the pitcher arrived I was actually surprised at how small the pitcher is as compared to other water filter pitchers I’ve used. Don’t get me wrong, it does the trick and the smaller size does allow for more room in the fridge, but also means that you absolutely have to refill the top portion upon every use. My big complaint is the tiny flap at the tip of the pour spout. It appears to be a cheap plastic flap that is held to the lid with a VERY cheap pair of plastic receiving clasps. The lid flap will fall off at any moment without any effort. It’s fallen off in my glass, it’s fallen off in my sink when refilling the pitcher and fell into my drain, it’s just terrible! This flap is truly the reason for a lower three-star rating. If it weren’t for the cheap flap I’d easily give this a four-star rating, five if the pitcher was a bit larger. Other than my complaint about the flap, the pitcher works great. The Pur filter does an excellent job of producing flavorless water to drink, filtering out all the nasty from my tap. I do recommend this water filter pitcher to you, just hope that you get a better lid than I did. I hope this review was helpful to you in some way. Cheers! ... show more
