The Brio water dispenser is highly appreciated for its sleek design, functionality, and ease of installation. Users found the bottom-loading feature particularly beneficial, significantly easing the process of replacing water bottles. Despite some concerns over noise and some design elements, the Brio water dispenser provides a significant improvement over traditional top-loading machines and encourages increased water consumption.

Pros

  • 🌟 Bottom-loading design provides convenience, especially for older users or those with physical limitations.
  • 🌈 The design is sleek, modern and fits well within most spaces.
  • 💪 It's durable, with most users reporting it works well over time.
  • 🙌 Simple set-up and use.
  • 🌡️ Offers cold, room temperature, and hot water, meeting a variety of needs.

Cons

  • 🔊 Some users report the pumping sound is relatively noticeable, even continuing slightly after dispensing water.
  • 👎 Criticized for the dispensing nozzle design and placement; they're described as small 'nubs' and positioning cups or bottles accurately can be tricky.
  • 🧩 Some users find the button and light panel confusing, specifically the placement of hot and cold indicators in relation to their corresponding buttons.
  • ⚡ There is a lack of insulation between the different temperature tanks, potentially leading to increased energy consumption.

Should I Buy It?

The Brio water dispenser is a good buy, especially if the convenience of a bottom-loading design appeals to you. With its diverse temperature options, it caters to a variety of needs and encourages increased water consumption. While some minor design elements may require getting used to, overall it offers durability and functionality that outweighs these concerns.

  • Absolutely Amazing
Style: Dispenser
The media could not be loaded. This water dispenser absolutely exceeds expectations. The dispenser came well packaged and all in one piece - there was zero putting together outside of putting the rod inside the bottle to load. As promised, there are three modes: Hot (with child lock), room temperature, and cold. The door on the bottom of the dispenser is very nice and sleek, and it latches securely. The dispenser holds my 5-gallon water jug without any issue. There is a hum once you turn the dispenser on, but it is not distracting and is pretty quiet and easy to tune out. The water stream is phenomenal in all three options. 10/10 would buy again. ... show more

  • I really like it so far
Style: Dispenser
I'm very happy with this purchase so far. It's a nice looking cooler that fit perfectly in the space I have. The temperature of the cold water is perfect for me although it may be too cold for some. I've only used the hot water once, for a cup of noodles, and it worked great and I'm looking forward to using it for hot tea this winter. The "room temperature" water is actually pretty cold, but it might be because I don't keep the hot water switched on unless I need it. If you want room temp water you can use the "hot water" with the heat turned off. The only issue that I've had so far is it can be a little noisy sometimes, but you can turn off both switches at night and it's perfectly quiet. I saw reviews that mentioned taller water bottles didn't fit under the machine so I bought the shorter of the 2 options that Walmart had and it fit fine (American Maid 5 gal) but I think there's plenty of space for the square stackable bottle they have. 09/18/24 - I've only had the machine a week and I'm aware of the other complaints I've seen others have. If I have any issues I'll be sure to update this review but so far it's all good. 10/07/2024 - After a month of use I'll still give this machine 5 stars but there are a couple of things that bug me. First is that the noise can get really annoying sometimes. It's okay when it's a consistent noise, but sometimes it's an inconsistent vibration and almost sounds like the machine is struggling. I have the machine close to my desk so I have to turn it off at times so I can get some work done. Luckily, the water stays cold for quite a while with the cold switch off. I turn it off at night and the water is still pretty cold when I grab a glass in the morning. The second thing that bothers me is the "water low" warning light. It's a really bright red flashing light that you can't turn off. No big deal unless you have the machine in your bedroom and only have one jug like I do. I have to unplug the machine to get any sleep. I'll probably have to void my warranty to disconnect this feature. 01/28/2025 - I've had the cooler for almost 5 months now and am still very happy with the purchase. No further issues other than the previously mentioned issues. I've used the hot water feature many times for tea and cocoa this winter and it works great. I live near one of the fires in LA and it was so nice to have this dispenser when we weren't able to drink our tap water. I can definitely say that I recommend this purchase and will update if I have any major issues in the coming months. 06/26/2025 - 9 Months in and no further issues with this machine. I figured out how to avoid the horrible red "empty" light without unplugging the machine. You can hear when the machine is sucking up air and if you open the door quickly enough, the empty light will not turn on. You just have to keep it open until you refill the jug. ... show more

  • Where do I start ?…,
Style: Dispenser
I was excited to get this , after unpacking it and reading the instructions and getting it setup- I was so disappointed when only the hot water worked , everything seemed to look good- I checked the manual again and still nothing happened, for 2 days I tried to get it to work properly- I went on YouTube and watched a video of how to unscrew the top and make sure the fittings are all aligned- this was the problem and it is was easy to fix, however I was about to send it back as many probably do. Save yourself the hassle - it’s a manufacturing problem and during shipping these pop out of place. I got it working and I love it. It looks sleek with no ugly water bottle showing- no leaks, no weird smells, the 5 gallon bottle is concealed and fits perfectly in the bottom and it’s easy to use. The water tastes great and I love the convenience of having instant hot or cold water .. it saves you money and it’s soo much easier to load than the old top loading ones. ... show more

  • Super convenient
Style: Dispenser
I absolutely love this Brio Water Cooler! It looks great in my kitchen, and the stainless steel finish feels really solid and premium. The three temperature options are perfect for whatever I need. My wife uses the hot water for tea. What really sold me on this cooler is the bottom-loading feature. It makes swapping out the water bottles a breeze, no more struggling with heavy jugs! It was easy to set up, and it heats and cools the water quickly. I haven’t had any issues with it so far, and it’s nice and quiet while it runs. For the price, this cooler is definitely worth it, and I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Recommend!

After 2 years of having this water dispenser, I can leave a well rounded review. Since my house has well water, for years we were buying gallons jugs/water bottles for fresh and safe drinking water, until Covid, when prices went up on everything. When I saw how much it was per gallon at a refill station versus what gallon jugs and 24 packs of water bottles were, this purchase was a no brainer. I like to save where I can! Like I mentioned, we have now had this for 2 years, and it still works great no issues. The cold water comes out colddd, room temp is usually even slightly chilled, and the hot came out piping when I had the setting on, but as extra precaution I just use that one as room temp too (I don’t have the heat button in the back on) because I can never be too careful with my littles. The empty light comes on when empty, it’s easy to insert and remove the jugs thank gosh, and it isn’t too loud when refilling or chilling the water. Would buy again, by far one of my best purchases. ... show more

  • Best water cooler I've owned!!!
Style: Dispenser
I bought this cooler after having issues with its Igloo competitor's water pump breaking twice in 3 months for me:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B261RZH?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1. This cooler has been phenomenal! I don't use the hot water, but the cold water is ice cold and even the room temperature water is slightly cooled. No issues with the water pump, and my family goes through three 5-gallon water bottles a week, filling up two 40 oz water bottles with cold and refreshing water. I highly recommend! ... show more
