When I got the Brio 420 water cooler, I was excited because it promised both dispensing and ice making all in one. So far I’m impressed by how much it delivers. The ice maker produces transparent bullet ice in batches every 9 to 12 minutes, and the volume is solid—enough to keep up on hot days. The bottom-load design is nice because I don’t have to lift heavy bottles up top. Dispensing hot and cold water works smoothly, and the fast dispense option is really useful when I’m in a hurry. The unit feels premium with a stainless steel finish and solid construction—I don’t detect cheap plastic parts. The UV self-cleaning feature gives me confidence the water stays sanitary. One small downside is that the ice bin is a bit shallow, so it fills quickly with use. Also, the machine is fairly heavy, so once it’s in place you don’t want to move it often. During heavy ice generation it can get a little noisy, but nothing disruptive. Overall, it’s a smart and elegant addition to my kitchen. I’d recommend it for anyone wanting high capacity ice and versatile water options in one machine.

I’ve had the Brio ICE 420 set up in my kitchen for a few weeks now, and it honestly feels like an upgrade from a regular water cooler. The bottom-load design is a back saver — no more trying to muscle a 5-gallon jug onto the top. Just slide it in, close the door, and you’re good. The built-in ice maker was the selling point for me, and it doesn’t disappoint. I get a steady supply of bullet-shaped ice throughout the day, which is perfect for iced coffee or filling a water bottle before heading out. The water comes out piping hot or ice cold almost instantly, and the night light is a surprisingly useful touch when you’re grabbing a glass of water in the dark. The UV self-cleaning feature is also reassuring — I don’t have to constantly worry about slime or bacteria building up inside the reservoir. The stainless steel finish looks premium and fits in nicely with the rest of my appliances. Only small downside is the noise when the ice maker kicks on — it’s not super loud, but if you’re in a quiet space you’ll notice it. Other than that, this is easily the best dispenser I’ve owned. This water dispenser is a little bit better value than they flagship model from this brand. I actually prefer the black plastic top and the buttons on the front of the machine instead of the top. There is still a little stainless steel on the bottom load door, but that's about it for flashy. This is a functional ice maker that makes ice at the same speed as the flagship and dispenses and heats water exactly the same. The thing you lose in this model is the additional stainless and the UV light sanitation in the ice maker. I'm not sure those make a difference to me. Better than the flag ship are the front mounted buttons. However, they're still captive contacts instead of manual buttons, which I would prefer. The water flow speed is good and the pump seems to be slight quieter than the higher end version I've used. Overall, this is my favorite of the current options from Brio. I do with it was about $200 less though.

“Cool” product however it makes all your water taste plastic and chemically. I’ve tried to clean it multiple times. Now I will try to return it. There is no point in buying safe drinking water and then turning it into a chemical stew by your Brio.

I’ve used an older Brio dispenser for years, so I decided to upgrade to this new model and handed my old one to my brother. This one keeps everything I liked and adds real convenience: bottom-load bottle (no heavy flips), touch controls, and a built-in ice maker that cranks out clear bullets fast. My kids love pressing for ice and cold water-no waiting, and it’s surprisingly quiet. Hot water is quick but safely locked, the UV self-cleaning is a nice set-and-forget perk, and the night light makes late fills easy. It’s not cheap, but the performance and low noise make it feel worth it for quality and convenience. Definite recommend from me!
