Setup is not too difficult. Just need to grab the .PPD from the manufacturer and install it. They offer a .deb for Ubuntu that does the installation for you. Once you have the drivers installed you can use LibeOffice/OpenOffice and set your page size to match the labels you want to use and start designing your label. (File -> New -> Label) If you want to get fancy you can create a template and start generating labels from a spreadsheet or database.
