This row machine was easy to assemble. However, after getting it together the battery was corroded and the spring inside the battery case was corroded as well and fell right off once I was trying to reassemble some batteries. This is literally all in the same day of me receiving and putting together the machine. So there is not way to get power to the rowing machine to get the calorie counter, distance exc. to work.     • Husband loves it but I had issues (see below)
We were both pleased with this rower. Husband reports it was relatively easy to put together. Quite. He is 82 and has had hip surgery and needed something that would not put stress on his legs or back. He's liking it very much. I tried it out and also enjoyed the process and felt like I was getting a work out. Like another rater, I also felt it was really low to the ground. I'm 75 and I am embarrassed to report that it took me a good hour to figure out how to get up from that low position. I was alone in house. I eventually pulled one leg over the bar so both legs on same side and hurled myself off the machine and onto my knees, eventually finding a way to pull myself up. Now, of course, I'm afraid to use it, but I like it so am trying to find a way. Some method of lifting myself when husband not home. Or maybe some kind of device to raise the bar in back. Not giving up. If you hadn't guessed, I'm not very athletic. ... show more

I am pleasantly surprised with this rower. Easy to put together. Quite. Has a good range of tension settings. I watched the video on assembly, it was helpful. I also got the 2 year extended warranty. My only negative is that it's really low to the ground. I'm 69 and getting on and off can be a challenge. So far so good, will update if I encounter any problems. ... show more

This rower is extremely easy to assemble! I like this rower better than the ones you typically find at a gym. Very sturdy, very quiet. There is no chain involved.
