I assembled it with no issues and it appears to be very sturdy. Will use this to roll my 20x40 pool cover off the pool in the spring. We'll update the review then to see how it holds up.

Take the time to build it in an area with lots of room, take the time to place and measure exactly where you need to place the reer and pinch the clips through the liner - you only get one chance to get it right, don't do it alone! I have an irregular pool shape and ended up rolling up the short end of the blanket so I could stand under the roller bar and was very careful to follow the bubble lines to ensure a straight line of clips under the bar. I have a 12mil pool blanket and needed large pliers to punch the holes through the liner as I am not Arnold Schwarzenegger. Setup is still quite new but build was easy, the clips are strong and the blanket rolled up super easy. Because of the very irregular pool shape I used to struggle manually for about 20m to pull/fold the liner in/out, now it takes less than 2 min and the reel is so lightweight I can effortlessly walk/roll it out of the way when it's pool time. I'll probably go with the sandbag option per the instructions as in gusty conditions this is so light when the blanket is unreeled, I'm worried it might get blown around. If you've been on the fence about getting a reel, the first time you use it you'll feel it paid for itself. If you have an irregular shaped pool, just take 2m to fold the edges of your liner until you have a somewhat rectangle shape that fits the reel widget, and start reeling the liner in, easy breezy. All that's missing from this kit is a way to secure the rolled liner so the wind doesn't unroll a few feet.

The roller was delivered in two cartons and I was able to put it together in a little over an hour. Easy to install the straps to our cover and rolls up easily though it is better if there are two people to roll it up as it tends to get off center. The only issue is with the set screw to keep the cover from unrolling. It does not keep it secure in higher winds. However, I added a bungee cord to the roll to hold it in place. A simple solution.

Bought this because it looked like the heaviest duty on the market. Boy was I wrong. I followed the instructions and used the self tapping screws. After days they started falling out in the pool. What a Hazzard that has created. Swimmers unexpectedly stepping on sharp screws. Sent message to customer support and got no response. I loved the design and it works well. Just waiting for it to fall apart since there are no screws holding it together anymore.

Item arrived fast! When I saw the box I was like "Oh no she's gonna want to put it together with me." Which if you're married you know that is an eggshell walk but to my surprise this was SUPER easy we were out by the pool smacking high fives! Something I really appreciate about the product is the quality of the components, you can feel the sturdiness as you get things in place and it really gave me peace of mind. Diving board... so after we put it together we were like "Oh no it might not fit under the diving board!" but it does and it also does when the cover is rolled up, we still have space which was a relief... after all we put it together without arguing so didn't want to take an L on the diving board. Great purchase!

This is very sturdy and I like that the turning wheel is high enough I don’t have to stoop to roll up my pool cover. I just bend at the waist. I like the large wheels and I can steer the unit away from my pool while cleaning. I could not give this a five stars rating because the straps attach to the aluminum pole by sticky tape and do not hold. I used duct tape to secure and it works very well. I had to have my husband cut off about 20 inches from the pole where it meets the other pole inside the large pole because my pool is only 10 feet wide by 27 feet rectangular and the poles were too wide. Other than that I put the reel together entirely by myself and I am 69 years old.
