    • I had higher hopes
Style: 8 Pattern Hand Control
I was looking for a powerful hose for watering and washing down the patio, but this was not it - it leaks a lot. I was disappointed. I don’t use it anymore. Probably gonna sell it at a garage sale.

    • Two jobs covered cleanly, only 3 of the 8 patterns earn their keep
Style: 8 Pattern Hand Control
I picked this up after going through two cheaper plastic nozzles in the same season, and the difference in build is clear from the first squeeze. Use case here is double duty, washing the car in the driveway and watering the garden, and it handles both well. The jet pattern strips caked road grime without me dragging out a pressure washer, and the shower pattern is gentle enough for seedlings. Honest take, of the 8 patterns advertised I really only use 3, mist for hanging baskets, shower for the beds, and jet for the car. The flat and cone patterns feel redundant. Trigger lock holds without my hand cramping, and no leaks at the hose connector after a season of regular use. Solid build, will buy again when this one finally gives up. ... show more

    • So far so good
Style: 8 Pattern Hand Control 2 Pack
It's worked for one season. No problems yet. Works great. Good spray options. Kid haven't broken them yet, so durable enough. Wish it would pivot on the hose. I've often loosened it trying to spray certain directions, but other than that ...pretty good.

    • Not Heavy Duty
Style: 8 Pattern Hand Control
You get what you pay for in this case from my experience. The sprayer works great with the multiple spray options. The handle and spray area was what I was looking for so if it wasn't for the major issue that I had I experienced I would have probably rated it higher. In my case after a few weeks of using it, I noticed that water started to leak out from the sides of the top part of the nozzle sprayer head where you turn it to select the multiple spray heads you want to use. This rendered the spray nozzle useless regardless of selecting a different type of spray. So I had nothing to loose except to try to open the nozzle to find out what was going on. There is a screw in the center of the spray head that if you remove it you will see a rubber washer in the center of the nozzle and in my case it came loose - probably from the multiple use of the spray head selection or maybe dropping the spray head on the ground too many times? Simple fix was to put it back in the center enclave and screw the head back on and I was back with a working nozzle. Unfortunately, this same problem started to repeat itself more often. I don't know if it was because of the multiple drops to the ground, but I did notice that if that did occur, I would have to repeat the above steps. So much for heavy duty spray nozzle. I don't know too many people who gently place their nozzle on the ground every time and its not like I am slamming it to the ground either. Just your simple run of the mill daily use. On top of that I had the nozzle spray head jam up from turning it quite often which was the result of the rubber washer coming loose. I don't know if I had a defective nozzle or wasn't gentle with the sprayer nozzle and this was the result. Bottom line is that the rubber washer was the center of my problem so to speak and eventually it got warped from jamming up where it no longer stayed in place. Needless to say, I purchased another "Heavy Duty" nozzle sprayer without changing my watering habits and haven't experienced the same issues that I had with this sprayer. I guess your mileage will vary with this product. ... show more

    • Good Hose Nozzle - No Means to Control the Spray Power Good Hose Nozzle - No Means to Control the Spray Power
Style: 8 Pattern Hand Control
Review Image by K. Chan
The Viking Hose Nozzle is a good option if you're looking for a no-frills hose sprayer. The sprayer has several settings, although most of them are so similar, I personally wouldn't catagorize them as separate settings. Jet, Flat and Full are pretty much the same, center and cone are very similar, and angle is like flat but pointed down. There is no "flood" setting either, so if you want to just have a stream of water come out, you're out of luck. Shower came out much stronger than expected, and while I like the sprays, I didn't like how you can't control the output unless you turn the water down or squeeze the handle less. It's a minor thing, but as a gardener, it's troublesome when trying to control the amount and force of water going onto potted vs in-ground plants. You can set the sprayer to run continuously without holding the handle though. Overall, this is a good basic sprayer that is budget-friendly and worth considering, though I would probably get a different head knowing what I know about this one now. ... show more
