Right out of the box, it feels solid and well-built definitely not one of those cheap plastic sprayers that crack after a few uses. The construction feels durable and designed to last. My favorite feature is the thumb control on/off valve. It makes water flow adjustment effortless and eliminates hand fatigue. This nozzle is THE BEST, the thumb regulator works like a charm for just the right amount of water output for your job. To change the direction of water is so easy to turn the dial. Now here's where it gets unbelievable, this is a replacement nozzle for the exact same one I bought 20 years ago! I use my hose and this nozzle devery morning unless it's raining, I'm in So Cal, you know this nozzle works very hard year after year.

The first year we had this hose nozzle, I LOVED it. It was easy to use and had a nice grip that didn't get too hot in the sun. But it didn't do well being outside all year, and by this summer, pieces of the grip started falling off at the slightest touch, and more water squirted out of the base than the nozzle itself. At first I thought it just needed a new rubber gasket thing (it came with an extra), but then I realized the water was actually spurting out the sides (at the bottom) rather than out through the connection of the nozzle to the hose. Luckily, I'd purchased two at the same time, thinking I was going to use one in the front and one in the back, but as I'd never actually swapped out the one in the front, the second nozzle was still sitting unopened, ready to put into use when my husband got too fed up with getting soaked while watering the roses & blueberries. Maybe if we bring the nozzle indoors in the months when we're not using it, this second one will last longer? We really do like the grip and the ease of turning the water on & off with just your thumb. So much easier on the wrists when you don't have to squeeze all the time!

Well, lets start here. I have been buying the Dramn nozzle for many years and when it is new it works perfect but in a short time not worth a darn. You turn the water on and it may not cut all the way off or water may come gushing out of the handle and I am not talking about where it connects to the hose either.....yes the handle. These baby's are not cheap and they have a heavy feel but are cheap made. They have got to know there is a problem but take no effort to fix it. Now, I tried another nozzle about the same price. INNAV8 and this nozzle blew the Dramn out of the water. I have had a lot of nozzles in my time and so far this is the best one I have had to date. The different spraying patterns are so much more precise and have a great selection of them too. This nozzle is so good I just ordered another one. As my plant manager once told me...(.Hey Leroy, the proof is in the pudding). Do yourself a favor and give one a try you will be glad you did.

I like this nozzle. Easy to use, easy to hold, easy to select patterns. MUCH better performance than Dram. But their 100% leakproof technology isn't 100% leakproof. I just bought my third. The first two both lasted about a season each. They both leaded at the same place ... between the grip and the silver bezel at the bottom of the grip. At first, I thought it was a gasket problem between the nozzle and the hose, but the leak is definitely coming from between the grip and the silver bezel.

It connects directly to the hose where my last one had another coupler attached. Another possible place to leak (which it did). Also, it is much easier to push the lever for the kids. Great nozzle!

Update, 06/12/2022: Failed after 2 years, 5 months. For the price, I guess I can't whine. Note that the price has doubled in this time. I paid $8.95 in late 2019 and it's now $17.95. Even in the current inflationary environment and perhaps with other factors, this is far more than what I would have expected during this time. What appears to be an aluminum or plated housing in the advertising is just a plastic housing. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. This might be a good nozzle for a kid. Sort of a litmus test for how mindful the kid is about general tool handling. The early demise of this sprayer was expected given the cheap materials. The plastic spray selector dial popped off due to one of the back facing spray selector retainers breaking. I considered an epoxy repair but it just isn't worth the time or effort knowing that the repair or something else would likely break before long. Given that I was the only one using this and that it was never dropped onto a hard surface, it would be reasonable to assume that the materials failed only from routine usage. It's not a bad hose end sprayer. In fact, it worked very well while it lasted and the overall design is excellent. I especially like the thumb control. My only gripe given the low price is that this is just another product among countless millions of other products in today's world marketplace that will wind up in a landfill relatively soon. Original review: The supplier uses the term 'HEAVY DUTY' in the advertising. All caps. It performs as well or better than more expensive hose end sprayers I've owned and used but with a plastic housing, it will not stand up to careless use and is certainly NOT heavy duty. Although you should never drop any hose end sprayer onto a hard surface, for sure do not drop this on a hard surface. With a plastic housing, it won't stand up to that kind of abuse. For the price, not bad but care will have to be taken to handle gently.
