Love these orbit sprinklers. The metal spikes are strong and don't bend like some others I've tried. They sometimes get a bit sticky on their rotation but that's usually because I moved it and pushed on the head. If you find that happens, just tap the head and it will keep spinning. I had some tripods for other brands and was surprised to find that I could just unspin them and these mounted in perfectly after removing the stake. Great design, super functional and sprays better than most. You can turn the main assembly to change spray types and then the very top piece also spins and lets you set the spray pattern. Smart engineers. I have 8 of these for our 1/4 acre yard and they are my go to from here on out! ... show more

I bought 4 of these and for the most part, they work really well. Setup is very simple, and I like that you can easily adjust both the type of watering and the distance. A nice bonus is that they allow for daisy chaining—I have 3 linked in a row, and that setup works great for covering a larger area. The only downside is that 1 of mine went bad after about 2 months. It still works but doesn’t always rotate correctly. When first turned on, it will do a full rotation, but then it sometimes gets stuck at one end and stops oscillating. A bit frustrating, but the other 3 are still going strong. Overall, for the price, I’d still recommend these. They cover well, are easy to install, and have solid watering capacity. First, the Bad news: I’ve used these in the past and they always worked and are fantastic, BUT, unfortunately I received one that had an internal gearing problem in the base so it wouldn’t work correctly. The top sprayed fine and could be changed to any of the settings. Save the Good news for last: As I mentioned, I’ve found these sprinklers to be excellent, even though some would choose knockoffs because they’re slightly cheaper and obviously inferior versions/ brands. Please don’t do it! The American Orbit ones are superior and well worth the expense. Unfortunately I didn’t discover that 1 of the 4 didn’t work correctly until AFTER the Amazon return window closed. Oh boy… What now? Call them and they proved why it’s the best to buy from American companies… I called Orbit and they were excellent, just like their products, to help assess the issue. I’ve only had the sprinklers for 1 1/2 months and they immediately provided a warranty code and an immediate replacement! Conclusion: Don’t hesitate, buy this or another Orbit product. YOU WON’T be disappointed!! Not only do I use these sprinklers because the different settings that give great coverage, but FYI, I’m thrilled with the B-hyve WiFi 4 hose/sprinkler distribution unit. I am glad I bought this sprinkler. My backyard is mostly bare. I bought grass seeds in hopes of growing grass. I read that seeds need to be watered for at least 2 hours a day in order to grow. So I found this sprinkler and it has worked out great. I like that you can set what areas to water. You can set an area as small or large as needed to water. Since I have pets who use the backyard, I seeded half the yard and set the sprinkler to water only that area. The sprinkler has 6 setting and shoots long distances as well as short. I use the short distance as my yard is not that big. My only con is that is does leak on some setting. I did read this in other peoples reviews. It is not a deal breaker though as I imagine all sprinklers leak a bit. On some setting it doesn’t leak at all but at the end of the day the leaked water is going on the ground where it’s supposed to go. The sprinkler is small is size and very convenient. It is easy to move around the yard and stick into the ground. Definitely durable and made of good material. It doesn’t seem like it would break unless you mishandle it. The price is very reasonable for what it does. I recommend this sprinkler to anyone who doesn’t want a sprinkler that only goes 360. It is easy to use, convenient to place and small where it is not in your way. ... show more
