Save your money!! I installed this unit in my boat on the bridge. It worked very well for about 3 trips but then just quit unexpectedly. I purchased the unit in April but didn’t get to finish installing it until late June so now the support window is closed so it looks like I’m stuck with it. It has a lot of great features and was relatively easy to install but I was hoping to get at least a few years out of it. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!! It looks like a good deal but it really isn’t. Spend the extra money for a brand name one that won’t die after using it a few times.

I installed this unit into my 2014 Tundra utilizing a CRUX wiring adapter. The stereo itself is great with a nice big adjustable screen. The issue I have is Soundstreams customer service. I was having an issue getting the steering wheel control working which I figured was an issue with my wiring or the CRUX adapter. I double checked everything with CRUX & all installed properly. I then contacted SoundStream which took a week for them to reply that I had to deal with CRUX. CRUX assured me it was not their equipment. I re-contacted SoundStream & they replied that the head unit must be replaced. I contacted their returns dept for an RMA & they said because it was purchased through Amazon they could replace & I would have to go through Amazon. Unfortunately by that time it was past the return period so I am stuck with a not fully functional unit. Buyer beware.

Couldn’t be more happy with the purchase the screen size is massive and the touch sensitivity is perfect the functionality is intuitive and affords you a great deal of control! It does however suffer from a lack of power for the speakers if they are aftermarket but I ran an amp for my mids and highs and it works wonderfully the screen is excellent in the day but even dimmed is a little too bright at night! But the unit is excellent especially for the price!

I've been doing car stereo and video installations and custom speaker/sub enclosures for several years now. I just wanted to put that out there for anyone reading this review to understand I know what I'm doing when it comes to installations. I purchased this head unit because it had most of the features I was looking for in a radio at a fraction of the cost of a Pioneer or Kenwood. After completing the install the radio shows symptoms of faulty software/hardware issues. Radio would not boot up completely and would only display a black screen after the "soundstream" logo displayed. After resetting it, it worked until the key was cycled off for a few minutes and then back on and it would go back to not booting up. I then requested a replacement unit and the second unit is also doing the same thing. Both ignition and constant 12v are installed correctly and all grounds are proper (even if 12v + was backwards would not explain the radio not booting up after power was applied). This radio in my opinion has faulty software/hardware issues and I recommend that NO ONE buy it unless you want to waste your time like I did.

Overall I like it works great with my Backup camera. Android auto will randomly reset though and I can't figure out why, sometimes it doesn't for a while sometimes it's constantly happening.
