Ordered this coop because I needed a quick transition coop for my chicks. Im really afraid if I put it together, the chickens may fall though the bottom of the coop. Thin, garbage material held together by staples. Box arrived early, beat up as usual, and almost every hinge was broken off. The quality of the green type cover is terrible - looks like some sort of cheap fabric that was also torn from the shifting parts in the box. Do yourself a favor, just build yourself a coop. Install is difficult but you can manage to put it together if you’re good with puzzles and with your hands. Nothing is labeled and the pictures aren’t detailed. I see this chicken coop lasting about a year. I needed something quick because we are getting new chickens and I wanted to separate my new chickens from my old chickens for a couple weeks. Wood was thin and warped. I almost boxed it back up and sent it back. Also my new chickens won’t lay eggs for a couple months. If you have chickens that lay eggs don’t buy. Wood components are poorly stapled together. Frames are cracked and staples completely missed the wood. I had to re-staple all the joints. One long section of a channeled piece wood roof edge was badly bowed and warped. The instructions are poorly illustrated. Some screws are too short. Only my own tools, screws and woodworking knowledge saved this project to completion. Made in China. Poor quality control. ... show more

This coop is legitimately held together with staples. You’d be better off building a coop out of straw. The entire this is beyond cheaply made, even the roof is just some extra thin board with green waterproofing fabric on top. I bought this coop to house a gosling I’d found on a trail then sold it to a woman who now houses her 3 chickens. In the time I had it I loved it. Easy to clean and good money for the product. I just wish it came with instruction and packaged a little better. When it arrive there was some damage but nothing a few screw couldn’t fix. I used to work for Amazon though and I know how they treat there packages so I’m not complaining. The frame work is definitely good enough to build upon and make this coop unique to your chicken. There was nothing to like about the product There was no guidance to putting it together correctly & secure you have to separate & count each screw because picture doesn't demonstrate the size of each screw so you have to guess & count the total it should have been an easy setup but it wasn't not recommended to anyone to purchase & the price is not worth it ... show more

    • Flimsy, not well put together

This thing is FLIMSY... once it is all put together, there are gaps for the door, roof, and coop areas. The wood is REALLY cheap and lightweight wood, almost feels like rough-cut balsa. Had to get new door latches just so the door would stay closed without big gaps from the warped wood. The top barely fits and is warped as well. The removal tray doesn't really align well, and you really need to be paying close attention because it is touchy to get back in correctly. Overall not nearly worth the money that you pay for. You could make a better and larger coop and run by going to your local hardware store and buying the materials yourself. We settled for this because we were too short on time to build one ourselves... that mistake won't happen again ... show more
