Perfect for low impact exercises for those with mobility issues and are sedetary
"Vibration plates provide benefits such as improved muscle strength, increased circulation, enhanced balance, and higher bone density through rapid, high-frequency oscillations. Used for 10-15 minutes, they offer a low-impact workout that aids in reducing muscle soreness, aiding weight loss, and decreasing cortisol levels." I was skeptical at first, but gave it a try. These things remind me of the old cartoons where you see a character being shaken around using the shaking band that is supposed to help them lose weight. (The 1950s version was commonly known as a vibrating belt machine or belt massager.) Besides just standing on this, there are exercises that you can do. You have to look online for some examples and find the ones just right for you. You are mainly working on your core. When you get started on this, use your tummy muscles to help give you stability. Don't lock your knees (think of military soldiers passing out from locking their legs standing at attention). It will feel weird and you just have to laugh. It will probably surprise you at how much you jiggle and wiggle in places you never realized. There are a lot of official studies on these devices. So they really are beneficial. These devices help with detoxification and circulation. The lymphatic system is a vital part of the immune and circulatory systems, acting as a drainage network that removes fluid, waste, and infections from tissues. "Vibration plates offer several potential benefits for the lymphatic system, primarily by acting as a mechanical pump to move fluid. Unlike the circulatory system, the lymphatic system lacks a heart to pump lymph; it relies on muscle contractions and movement." People claim this helps them lose weight. Meh. I haven't seen it yet. So don't get this for that reason. Research the benefits of these and the cons too. If you have had recent surgery on your spine, you have to wait a year before using these. If you've had abdomanl surgery, you must follow doctor orders and wait before using this device. The book that comes with it gives a lot of warnings, but does not really tell you about the device display and things regarding the machine. The buttons on it are touch screen style, but they are smooth and flex when you press them. It is recommended to use the controller for the device, especially if you have issues bending down. There is a power button on the device that must be turned on first, then you can hit the power button the display. You can change your time length on the display. For intensity, you use the controller. I have not figured out how to do it on the display yet. It does stop quickly if you need it to. Not a sudden stop, but a slow down so you are not thrown off. Not much more I can say than fantastic!! I thought the price was really really good since these tend to be quite expensive. It's very sturdy and and functions beautifully. Everything on it works great. The design of it is nice because it's not terribly big but it does the job. I started off slow but then moved up as I got used to the feeling and then found it kind of fun. You can control the vibration which helps to keep it at your own comfort level. Nightly routine!
