I was honestly surprised at the quality. This is thicker material than your average rain jacket or windbreaker, and it’s a dark black that has a slight reflection to it. This jacket in other brands would be triple the price

I was looking for a windblocker, and what I mean is that this garment needed to pass the "blow test". Try to blow through it with your hand on the other side, it has to fail - you can't blow air out of your lungs and can't feel anything on the other side of the fabric. This test passes with flying colors. This is not wind resistant - this is wind proof! On the other hand I also did NOT want something waterproof, because from experience even the most breathable waterproof fabric does not breathe enough. It appears that this fabric is indeed not coated, so we should be fine there too. The wrists are tight enough for me, they won't let air through but won't also cut blood circulation. The head other openings can be cinched. My huge head fits fine in the hood, even with a hat on. Another win. The body is very baggy. The arms are big enough - but be warned, they may be a bit short. Just a bit. The black is really black. The fabric is thicker than I thought it would be. I've seen nylon windshirts that are much thinner and yet real windproof. I was hoping for about the same. This is much thicker. But then it's less than a third the price. All in all, it does the job exactly as specified. It you need the lightest thing you can find, spend extra. This is good enough for me. So, I recommend this jacket 100 per cent.
