I was very surprised at the abilities of this compressor. I bought it as a tool and emergency use item for mu truck/RV when on the road. Very powerful, 80-100 psi.. not a problem for this little compact. Woks great for my impact, air ratchet as well as full size tire inflation.

I had it for a few months to use in my motor home. The Viair mini compressor that I was using a VIAIR 400P which is a good unit but pumps a lot of humidity based water from the heat and the air compression. I found a work around for me. Put a painting air filter in line to catch the moisture and you wont fill your tire with air which can cause rim rust issues and accelerate tire deterioration. See below, they both work great for m but I am sure they are other ones out there. The first is a throw away and the second one you can drain. I use both on my plasma cutter, sand blaster unit, etc. I chose the second one because you can see the water droplets fill the bowl and drain it. ***Mini Disposable Water and Air Filters Disposable Spray Gun Filter , I use the red because they are cheap and last long *****NEIKO 30252A Water and Oil Separator for Air Line, 1/4-Inch NPT Inlet and Outlet, Air-Compressor and Air-Tool

When I first got into off roading with my Jeep I didn't want to invest in something this pricey so I purchased a cheap compressor. Nothing wrong with that one but for as often as I was using it, how long it took to air up my 35 inch tires and how crazy hot the compressor got I knew I needed to upgrade it. I'm so happy I went with this model that was rated for the larger tires I was running. This one is so quit compared to my cheap one and runs so much cooler by the end of airing up my tires. I did initially have a faulty hose with my initial order but the customer service team responded to my claim and had a new one shipped to me right away. Great company that stands behind their product. There is a reason I see so many people on the trails using this brand.

This is the 3rd Viair I've purchased. I have their small compressor for my hand trucks, wheelbarrow and generator wheels and it works great. I also have the 300 from 5 years ago and it still works great. I just purchase their 400 model and I just tried it out. It filled my car tires without any problems. I did notice the box I received was taped rather vigorously, suggesting it had been opened before. Upon opening the unit itself, the wire connected to the unit was all unraveled and placed rather haphazardly around the compressor confirming my suspicion that I had received an open box. I also noticed that the bag the compressor comes in is rather crappy! It's a rather light weight canvas that has really poor plastic zippers! Comparing it to my old 300 bag, that bag is a very sturdy canvas with rather large teeth zippers that's held up well for 5 plus years! Something I know the new bag will not do. I just hope that they did not skimp on the quality of the compressor ! At any rate, the compressor worked fine outta the box and I look forward to as many years of service as my older model!

No complaints. I run 35 inch tires on my truck and it can fill them up no problem and reasonably quickly. Haven’t needed to seat the bead on the tire so not sure if it has enough grunt to do that on 35s. But overall not bad for a portable small compressor. Has saved me more than once and I never go far without it in the back of the truck.
