  • Highly Rated, Dependable
Style: Compressor
My old clunky compressor of 30 years finally died. I wanted a new one that was portable, but still strong enough to use for larger jobs not jus inflate tires and balls. The reviews on this one was good so that's what I chose. Great decision! It's small enough to transport in the suv if I need to, and large enough to spray paint my 2 story house. I love the size, weight, strong motor, 2 hose hookups, and ease of use, Oh! and it is not all that loud. ... show more

  • Decent compressor
Style: Compressor
I have used porter cable pancake compressors for years, but when my last one went out I decided to upgrade to this one. It seems marginally quieter. I like the ease of the pressure regulating as you just have to twist the dial to the setting, but wish it had an actual physical gauge on the outlet. This compressor has been tossed around for a couple months now and been left out in the rain plenty. No problems, seems like it will hold up. These type of compressors are good for nail guns and such, not impact guns. They will keep us with a framing gun but will require a little patience on sheeting. ... show more

  • Powerful and Reliable Compressor for Efficient Work
Style: Compressor
I am thrilled with the performance of the compressor I recently purchased. Right from the first use, it proved to be a powerful and reliable equipment. I was pleasantly surprised by its ability to reach the desired pressure quickly, significantly enhancing efficiency in my tasks. Moreover, the noise level is remarkably low compared to other models I've used in the past, making its operation much more comfortable. Highly recommend this compressor for anyone looking for a top-notch tool! ... show more

  • Good and Small Compressor That Is Able to Tackle Most Jobs
Style: Compressor
I've been using this Dewalt (DWFP55126) 165 PSI, 6 gallon, pancake air compressor weekly for almost a year. The One I have has the yellow handle and the two white faced needle gauges. Apparently now there is a lower quality version 2 out there. My first impression when taking this out of the box was not the best. The compressor is not snug to the tank. There is some play. Every time you pick it up by the handle there is a slight shift and a thud. It moves maybe a 1/4", but it's enough to give you that shock feeling the tank is about to fall off. I almost thought about exchanging it, but everything else with the unit was fine and didn't want to go through the hassle of back/forth shipping. The unit overall is pretty good. I like the built in cord holder, regulator, two outlets, dual gauges, large rubber feet, and quarter turn (presumably brass ball valve) drain valve. This is overkill for my regular usage which is to keep tire pressures on point weekly. But I wanted a unit capable of 150 PSI with at least a 5 gallon tank for any time that I may need it around the garage or for a home project. My motivating factor in purchasing this unit was to replace my Porter Cable C2002 which has nearly identical specs to this Dewalt one. It was a couple of years past the printed tank expiration date and was extremely loud. I've been using Porter Cable C2002 air compressors for years at work and at home, and I have been very happy with their quality and performance. The only things that I wanted improved upon from the Porter Cable C2002 was the noise level, the screw type drain valve, and better rubber feet. The Dewalt DWFP55126 seemed to be the solution. It has a noise rating of 75.5 dBA compared to Porter Cable's 82 dBA, better rubber feet, and a better drain valve. Sadly I wish I had ponied up more and gone with one of the ultra quiet air compressors like the ones from Campbell Hausfeld, California Air Tools, or Stealth that are rated at only 60-68 dBA, but at the time it was tough to justify spending double the price to save 10 dBA. Now I am starting to think the lower dBA would have been money well spent on something that I will be using weekly for years to come. ... show more

  • Love this compressor
Style: Compressor
Bought this without having a real use for an air compressor. Overall, this has blown my expectations away. Very compact so when it came to building a sound dampening box for it, it was very easy to make. On top of this, I don't think is a bad quality to have but because it is an air compressor it is quite loud, part of the reason I made a sound dampening box for it. I do use this quite a bit for when I am sanding wood and getting all the particulates off of my piece, I usually use this compressor set at 100psi and it takes a couple of seconds to get there but it is much faster than I thought it would be. I haven't found a downside to it yet and it seems to be very high quality ... show more

  • Great price, quality compressor, make sure you have hoses
Style: Compressor
I needed a compressor for a shop/garage I built last year. For the price, this seems like a great value. I wouldn't say it's "quiet" for a compressor, but it also isn't insanely loud. It's not the most portable compressor out there, but the portable ones have far less capacity. I think unless you want multiple compressors (small for portability, larger for shop) this is the best compromise you're going to get. Two air outlets, really intuitive and simple interface, fills decently fast, seems well built, etc. I've already used it with brad and finish nailers, air tools, and general tire fillups. Does not come with hoses or hose hardware (if you buy a hose, either make sure it comes with connectors, or buy the connectors separate), which is to be expected at this price point. ... show more

  • A Powerhouse for Your Workshop and home
Style: Compressor
As someone who's constantly tackling various projects around the house, I've gone through my fair share of tools, but the DEWALT 6 Gallon Compressor has quickly risen to the top of my favorites list. This unit, which comes in at a manageable 30 pounds, is a cinch to move around, making it incredibly convenient for both indoor and outdoor tasks. The compressor is designed to handle a variety of uses, from drilling and air brushing to spraying and nailing, without breaking a sweat. The 165 max PSI and 2.6 SCFM at 90 PSI pump mean you get long run times and quick recovery, which is crucial when you're in the middle of a project. Plus, the high-efficiency motor ensures that even in cold weather or when using an extension cord, start-up is hassle-free. I really appreciate the oil-free feature of this compressor, which equates to virtually no maintenance on my part—a huge plus for any busy DIYer. And with a 6-gallon capacity, I can work longer without having to stop and refill. Despite its power, the DEWALT compressor operates at a noise level of 75.5 dB, which is relatively quiet for such a robust tool. It's clear that DEWALT has put thought into the design, with a high flow regulator and couplers that maximize air tool performance, and a console cover that not only protects the controls but is also removable for easy repair. The addition of two universal couplers is fantastic for double teaming the fries and crumbs that fell between the seats in the car, as it can easily support two users. The ball drain valve is another feature I didn't know I needed, but it makes tank draining quick and effortless. Overall, the DEWALT 6 Gallon Compressor is a solid, reliable tool that's well-suited for anyone from the casual DIYer to the more serious home renovator. It's powerful, easy to use, and with DEWALT's reputation for durability, I expect to be using this compressor for many years to come. ... show more
