Description

Our 20V MAX Corded/Cordless Air Inflator can run on any one of three power sources for maximum versatility: 20V MAX battery, 12V DC, or 110V AC. Use it on the jobsite, or on the go. It features a high-pressure rubber hose for durability. The threaded chuck and included onboard accessories make it easy to inflate items from tires to footballs. Setting desired air pressure is simple with the digital gauge, and the auto-shutoff provides accurate inflation. The high-volume hose allows fast inflation of mattresses and other inflatables with the push of a button. Move the hose to the deflation port for quick and easy take down. An onboard LED light helps to provide illumination in dark spaces. Heavy-duty rubber feet help reduce walking while in use. Battery, charger, and AC power adapter sold separately.

I've gotten some of those portable cordless tire pumps, but they either run out of battery too soon or take too long to inflate my car tires. A lot of them are off brands that while they have a detachable battery it's hard to find or not worth getting an off-brand spare. While as a Vine reviewer I have tested a few of those, and they are OK. I wanted something more robust with easy to replace readily available batteries. I knew Dewalt was a popular brand that makes many cordless tools that I use. I noticed this didn't come with a battery, but I have plenty that fit the bill, so I didn't have to worry about having ready power. Additionally, it's very powerful so standing outside on cold days inflating the tires is going to cost me less effort. This is a very simple device to use, not a bunch of selects like some chargers have with various pressure metrics. This uses PSI, plus there is no selection for a lot of different vehicles or tire applications, just a choice between inflation a blower. The two sides of the device have wrap arounds for their use. On the left facing front is a rubber high pressure cord with a fitting for tires. On the right side in a larger diameter flex hose for just blowing air. The display allows you to select tire or air which has a simple for a gust of wind. When blowing up a tire, a simple dial allows you to set the frequency, and the pump stops when it's reached. Inside one of the side panels is a cigar lighter cord and plug in to use for connection to your car battery as a backup via the lighter port. So, you can use if the plug in battery is dead, or you don't have one yet as it is not included. Dewalt 20V batteries are available in may sizes, and I like that I can put a bigger long lasting one to refill my tires without recharging in-between. Unit is not as light as the smaller ones but much more powerful and has a convenient carry handle. I when connected to a tire it will inflate it faster than most of the portables, and you can just sit it down as the connection hose is long enough to reach. Recommended. ... show more

This is my third DeWalt inflator, not because they wear out, but because I have given two away to my children. It is my favorite DeWalt tool. I just love to able to walk out to the car and air up the tires with no hassle. I love the fact you can set the PSI and it automatically shuts off. It even does my 80 PSI truck tires with no problem. Light weight! Very versatile for a reliable unit. Inflator comes with light, easy operator guide, accessories, and car lighter power cord. If you have any Dewalt 20V MAX gear you are set. I also bought the 120V compatible power cord. In about 3 minutes you can go from 24 psi to 31. That time includes removing the tire valve cap, hooking up the inflation cord, inflating, and restoring everything. I had my super significant other do it and she got it it was super easy. If you watch the youtube video for it. It shows how the pressure goes a little over to compensate for removing the inflation cord. I filled all four tires and no heat was felt. I filled 3 of my kids balls with the meter and it was accurate enough to dial the pressure I needed right in. It is easy to use for anyone 10 and above for sure. I bought this as alternative to a large, very noisy, pancake-type air-compressor I would normally use for tire inflation. It is a lot quieter and the supplied fitting screws onto the tire valve so that you don't have to hold it in place while you're pumping air. Also has a precision control to set the desired tire pressure. The inflator stops once the tire reaches the target pressure. On the downside, the default power supply is assumed to be the 12V outlet typically found in older vehicles. Many vehicles today (e.g., some current GM models) no longer have that12V outlet. A 20V battery or AC power supply are optional alternatives. With the confusing array of 20V batteries available, I went with the AC power supply for the time being.
