I got tried of buy griddles every 4 months so I got this . I is a no brainer . I feel like I am a chief . You can cook a lot of things at one time. It is quite heavy so I recommend you buy a table with wheels to make it easy to move around. Other than that I am really glad I made the purchase. I look forward to many years of life on this one. Like most cooking ware you have to burn it in. You need to keep it oiled or it will rust very quickly. What I do is when finished cooking clean the surface and spray some oil on it and take a paper towel and coat the entire surface until I am ready to use again! Bacteria does at about 175 degrees or so , so when you heat it up I do not think you need to worry about that. Most cooking can be done around 350 degrees. Well that is what I set mine at anyways. LOL!

When I opened griddle, I was not impresses because it is so heavy and the reviews I decided to read after I ordered it made me question my decision to order this. When I opened it, I didn't realize I had ordered half flat and half with the rigid grill plate (I bought a return to save $). I had purchased it to make pancakes and freeze them. I had read that it takes so long for it to heat up that I was thinking it wouldn't be worth my time. However, after using it to make dozens of pancakes (in one day), I am impressed. The serrated or ribbed side is actually better than the flat surface for the pancakes to release from. I use coconut oil when I make the pancakes to keep them from sticking, but it doesn't always work 100%. This griddle is heavy, but it is amazing. I would recommend it. It takes a little while to heat up (15 minutes or so, depending on the stored temp and what temp you want to cook at), but it's solid and that's a lot of metal to heat up. Once it's hot, it stays hot. It's not cooling off very quicky. In fact you have to wait a while before you can clean it if you're going to use a cloth. It also comes with two nice spatulas and a couple ok basting brushe.

UPDATE! -- 9/11/2025 -- Griddle quit working. Won't power on. No indicator lights, no heat, no nada! Junk. My wife is getting a little tired of Philly Cheesesteaks, fajitas, smashburgers, chicken-fried rice, NY Chopped Cheese, carne asada tacos, BLTs, grilled ham and cheese (or just cheese), breakfast sandwiches, quesadillas, Gyros sandwiches, Souvlaki, pork chops, pancakes, french toast, etc.... but my kids aren't! I digress... This is a must have for any red-blooded man who loves to cook... It's just that simple. This is a legit, commercial-grade flattop for home use, and it's an absolute joy to cook on! It seasoned BEAUTIFULLY and EASILY! I did four cycles with canola oil before first use, just after washing out of the box. It developed beautiful color immediately. Then, first cooked with bacon (my go-to first cook to dot the initial seasoning process), and it has been a non-stick, easy clean, smile producing machine, ever since! A couple of things to note: -- It is pretty heavy. -- It is pretty big. -- It is a no-brainer to purchase if the first two things are inconsequential to you. It take about 20-30 minutes to come to temp as the carbon steel plate is thick. Once there though, it will hold a consistent temperature with virtually no hot spots to speak of. No worries about running out of propane. No non-stick bs surface (looking at you Blackstone E-series), no frills, no gimmicks. This is just a beast of a machine that does one thing, and it does it better than anything else out there IMO. Do yourself a favor... At ~$110, you are purchasing pure joy for years to come in the kitchen. Enjoy! PS -- Thank you, Vevor for such a thoughtful machine at a true bargain price!

I was skeptical of this griddle at first since it was covered in grease from the factory and it took quite a bit of effort to clean it and then a lot of time to burn off what was left before it was ready to use. But once I finally used it I was very satisfied. It takes a few minutes to heat up because the cooking surface is very thick. That helps it retain heat though, so it sears very well. We’ve had it about 2 months now and I use this for about 75% of our meals. Season it well and it will be more nonstick than any “nonstick” coating plus you can use metal utensils without scratching it. The size is also great and the walls help keep from spilling. Like some have said, using a no-contact thermometer will not be accurate until the surface is seasoned and black, the shine from the factory messes with that type of thermometer. When I first got it I measured temps in the 100s when I had it set to 300, but after breaking it in I measured again and got 297 at the same setting.
