We’ve had the Cattleman Panini Grill for a few cooks now, and I agree with many reviewers. It is a great buy. The plates snap off fairly easily and are very easily to clean due to the ceramic surface. So long as it is a truly non toxic material, you couldn’t ask for a better indoor grill. It heats up quickly, and grills burgers perfectly. We haven’t used the griddle or waffle functions, but I don’t see how these would be less enjoyable. If you leave it on you counter top - you’ll use it. Grilled chicken came out perfectly too- so much easier than in a pan or the oven. We have an outdoor grill, but if your cooking only for two or even three - (it fit four 1/4 pound burgers easily) - on a weeknight sometimes you don’t want to head outside. One day I will make a panini, which was my original reason for buying it! ... show more

This panini press grill has been a great upgrade from my previous grill. It heats well and works perfectly for sandwiches, grilling, and griddling. Cleaning is very easy thanks to the removable plates and the built-in grease collection tray, which helps keep everything neat and mess-free. That alone makes a big difference for everyday use. I tried the Chefman brand in this same price range, and was surprised at the bad design of the timer aspect, as well as the hinge for the top section of grill. After careful comparisons, I tried this Cattleman brand, and it's much better. The timer works the way you would expect, and it's easy to make changes to both the timer and the temperature even while it's cooking. Hinge works better, and the whole thing has an auto-off feature so there is no way to leave it on for hours. Size is pretty optimal, and the top doesn't even get that hot when grilling. This was a great value for the price and worked perfect for what I wanted it to do. There’s a timer you can set once it gets to temp that I thought was slightly unnecessary but I suppose it’s for people who walk away or get distracted easily or are forgetful. Definitely need to use with a cooking mitt or similar as underestimating how hot it can get is easy. But as long as you practice prudence and common sense this product works wonderfully ... show more

I use this thing for literally everything now. I make breakfast pancakes on the flat side and then flip the plates to grill steaks or paninis for dinner. The fact that the plates are reversible and removable makes it so much more useful than my old grill. Cleaning is a breeze because I can just pop the plates right into the dishwasher. The meat thermometer is actually a really cool addition that I didn't think I would use but it makes cooking steak perfectly so much easier. UPDATE: Jan. 30, 2026: While making steak tonight, the grill died. We thought we blew a circuit, so carried it to another outlet, but it was the grill. Just completely dead. Was it worth the price for 18 months? Not really. I liked this grill but will probably not purchase another. After years of owning Foreman grills without removable plates, we thought we'd give something else a try. This is a substantial unit and feels very solid. The plates are easy to remove and wash, and it's totally cool that you can open this grill flat and have one side smooth (for eggs) and the other rippled (for bacon). My two complaints are that the edges of the grill get very, very hot and if you accidentally touch the grill when you're grabbing the handle you're going to get burned. The other is that the sensor piece that you push into meat and then into the unit doesn't make a great connection and so you have to keep jiggling it when you're cooking to get the temperature. The controls are not intuitive, so don't lose the instruction booklet. ... show more
