Love and recommend this Cattleman indoor grill! Not only does it finish searing steaks and making waffles, but it also makes paninis and my favorite sandwiches. The stripes on the grill make my sandwiches look so delicious and flavorful, and they actually come out delicious. There are several features on this grill I like, but it also has some drawbacks. First, the pop out grill plates are great. This feature makes clean up next to nothing. The ribbed grill plates are reversible so you get griddle plates on the other side. You also get mini waffle plates in case you want to use this as a waffle maker. The grill appears to have the same heating element on both the top and the bottom, so you should get even cooking on both sides. It hinges back so you can use it as a flat single grill if you want. Now for some of the things I did not like. The manufacturer does not provide any recipe or temperature guide. I had no idea what temperature to set this at to do a panini sandwich or to grill fish or chicken breast or, for that matter, waffles, so there's going to be a lot of trial and error cooking. The grill presents some storage issues. The handle always stays a few inches above the grill and the grill is too deep to fit into upper kitchen cabinets. I'm still trying to find somewhere to store it and the extra grill plates. I've tried doing a couple of sandwiches at a 400 degree setting. The grill appears to toast the entire piece of bread, rather than making those nice panini grill marks that you get with restaurant panini sandwiches. I'm going to experiment around with this more. The biggest problem has been with the temperature probe. I tried it on a rather thick cut of salmon filet, then a pork chop, and finally a beef filet. On all three, the probe signaled doneness long before the protein was even close to the proper doneness. I would say that if you are looking for a less expensive version of the Ninja grill (Of course, this does not have an air fryer or roaster built into it as the Ninja grill does), you might like this, especially since the grill plates pop out and go right into the sink or dishwasher.

I bought my griddle in July after researching several other griddles. I had the Cuisinart griddler and wasn’t thrilled with it since it just didn’t get hot enough. The Cattleman gets as hot as I need, and it doesn’t cool when adding food to it like the Cuisinart. I love the variable temperature settings which are accurate, that I can use it flat, the temperature probe, and easy clean up. It’s great for cooking bacon with 0 splatter, then scrambling eggs. Salmon comes out moist and delicious. This is also perfect to use in the RV.

We liked this grill so much that we bought one for our nephew. But, right at 2 months, beyond return time, it just stopped working, In the middle of cooking a really nice cap steak. I reached out to the seller but heard nothing. So, I opened it up, pretty sure it was a fuse or something. It turns out that under the burner plate, under a square insulation piece. on the top section, there is an SEFUSE, MODEL SF240R0. THERMAL FUSE. relatively easy to replace if you have some electrical experience, and really cheap. I did not replace mine, I upgraded what is kind of a poor design. I don't recommend anyone else doing this repair. This is just informational.

Wasn’t familiar with this brand and with so many panini makers to choose from I took a chance on this one. Hit the mother lode here— it’s GREAT! Takes a bit to preheat, but works flawlessly. No hot spots, grill plates go in and out easily, nothing sticks to them so clean up is a breeze, and love the digital panel. Timer and temp probe seal the deal!!!
