Flimsy and hard to put together because of bent parts. The latches for the doors snapped off very easily. The lid would not seat properly. I could never get the smoker up to temp. The thermometer would not stay in place. In addition (as a warning), I was moving the smoker from the patio, and tripped and fell. The sharp edges cut me, causing me to have to get 7 stitches. If you use this smoker, be extra careful. I will be investing in an electric smoker in the future.

The construction is very light weight. It came with bent parts that had to be straightened with pliers before it could be assembled. The sections also had to be un-bent to fit together. The thermostat won't stay in the opening, it falls out. I tried smoking a 6.5lb chicken...so much heat escapes that I couldn't get the chicken up to the required 165 degrees over a whole 4 hours. The internal chicken temp stayed in the upper side of the "danger zone" (40-140 degrees) for the whole 4 hours...I had to throw it out as it was dangerous to eat, even if finished off on a propane grill. This wins the award for the poorest quality product I've ever purchased off of Amazon. Returning it as quickly as possible.
